Just in time for Halloween, Valve's demo of Left 4 Dead 2 has arrived for PC gamers, over a day after the expected release date.  But as we mentioned before, this demo is only available to people who have pre-ordered the game through Steam. 

As you are no doubt aware, the demo will put you in the shoes of a pack of four survivors in the southern United States, and covers "The Parish" campaign segment, which takes place in the bayous of New Orleans . The full game is due to arrive on November 17, 2009.

As for the rest us folks who have not pre-ordered the game, or who prefer to do our gaming on the Xbox, the demo will drop November 3 -- but only for folks with Xbox Gold memberships. Xbox Silver folks will have to wait until November 10 to get their hands on the game.
