Muscle brothers Adon and Samson spreading their muscle juices and man beams westward once more
The muscle brothers cannot be contained to just one escape outside of Japan, and the folks over at Aksys Games are fulfilling that. The publisher has announced that Cho Aniki Zero (known as Rei Cho Aniki in Japan) will be hitting the PlayStation Portable via the PlayStation Store in Spring 2010. The game will be available exclusively through the PlayStation Store, and will not see a UMD release.
Cho Aniki Zero is a remake of the TurboGrafx16 title Cho Aniki (which is available on the Wii Virtual Console), with the player controlling either the muscle-bound male Idaten or the supersexy female Benten in this sidescrolling shoot-em-up. The Cho Aniki series' iconic muscle brothers, Adon and Samson, act as Idaten and Benten's options, with the power of their Man Beams (which are shot from that hole in their heads) becoming stronger as Idaten and Benten's attacks power up upon the collection of Man Protein that are left behind by defeated enemies. The PSP remake will feature multiple new endings and new characters in the game's five man-packed stages.

Aksys Games' Associate Producer, Frank "Bo" deWindt II, had this to say on Cho Aniki Zero:
“Cho Aniki Zero is a real trip. It’s wacky, hilarious, and just plain fun. Be it the crazy characters, the challenging gameplay, or even the out-of-this-world enemies, you’ll find yourself chugging down protein shakes between levels before you know it!”
Cho Aniki Zero released in Japan at retail on March 19th earlier this year, published by GungHo Works. It is developed by extreme Co., Ltd., which had obtained the rights of Cho Aniki creators Masaya's products. The game's Japanese site can be found here.
