The guys at EA Mobile have finally confirmed the release of Rock Band for the iPhone. The compact band app comes packing 20 tracks, an in-game store where additional tracks can be purchased, and multiplayer support.
No official word on a release date yet, though EA Mobile promises the game will be available for download via the App Store sometime later this month.

The set list is disappointing, but they will have downloadable songs so that will help. The vocals look stupid, for a minute I thought they would actually let you sing the words...And I'm confused why they changed the colors around for the drums since there really is only four pads. But assuming its less then $10, I'll get it.
They probably didn't allow actual singing because, could you imagine people sitting in a hospital waiting room, or the airport, or on the street singing by their lonesome? It would annoy people, and that would give the iPhone a bad name. Fine in your living room, not fine where mobile devices go.
Guess not, but looks great, especially on a portable plataform.
