Developers of fighting-adventure-whatever the heck Zeno Clash, ACE Team, are new to the gaming scene, so the announcement of them partnering with new publisher Iceberg Interactive -- classy name, huh? -- fits.
Now that the title has done well on the digital circuit, the two entities have found an agreement to bring it to retail in Europe, which you can expect in the fourth quarter. It's not known yet if the free DLC and/or mod kit released a couple months ago will be included with this release, but we can hope so, even if a higher price commands it.
Another independent title, World of Goo, received the European retail treatment and eventually showed up in North America, so that's a possibility. For fellow box fetishists this side of the pond, at worst you can always import.
Erik Schreuder, CEO of Iceberg Interactive said: “Zeno Clash is a major accomplishment by the ‘indie’ developers of ACE Team and it has rightfully received worldwide acclaim and has won many awards already. We are therefore thrilled to be publishing the game throughout Europe in the upcoming fall. With its wonderfully colourful and truly amazing environments and addictive first person melee and ranged combat, Zeno Clash is a jaw dropping trip, a true experience that will stick with gamers forever. This is one not to be missed by anyone.”
Andres Bordeu, cofounder of ACE Team said: “We’re extremely happy to have partnered with Iceberg Interactive to bring Zeno Clash to the retail market in Europe. We’re certain that through their experience and passion for games, Zeno Clash will reach a broader audience that is eager to experience new and unique games. We’re confident that Zeno Clash is in excellent hands.”
