Activision first announced Guitar Hero Greatest Hits earlier this year, planning for a June release.

Details were mostly revealed with the first teaser and screenshots in March, and the game is already out on the market -- still known as "Guitar Hero Smash Hits" in certain regions.  Aside from a few gameplay updates to make the game more newbie-friendly and the tracklist comprised of "greatest hits," it looks to be the same as any other Guitar Hero.
