That's not true. Many of them lead pretty 'normal' lives. A Duke University Official has just been charged with trying to pimp out his 5 year old son.

Not to mention Michael went from Lisa Marie Presley to that Debbie Rowe lady. It wasn't exactly very convincing.

You respected him and was a huge fan, I can see that. Just don't fool yourself into thinking he wasn't capable because he had a few hit records and 2 marriages that seemed like shams.

I'm leaning towards M.J not being a pedophile. (Though I would not rule it out.) I think it was more of a case that he didn't have much of childhood, mostly due to his tyrannical father working him so hard, so that lead to him as an adult trying to reclaim his lost youth. He had an unhealthy fascination with the mindset of children, but I would not be so sure it spilled over to the sexual side of things.

With the caliber and cadre of lawyers at his disposal, it is doubtful that he would ever be found guilty even he was guilty though, I would imagine.

Unfortunately even the suspicion of being a pedophile is enough to ruin a person, for life. Doubly so for a world famous music idol.

Really tragic stuff. He's better off now, whether or not there's an afterlife.

Yeah, the world has lost one of the greatest pop singers of all time. His musical talents were limitless, there will be no one like Michael Jackson in the future.

In terms of next life, Michael's karma will decide his types of next life according to Buddhism. If he's a real innocent pop singer, he'll get a better life, if he's not, he'll get an equivalent karmic repercussion in the next life.

Note: I don't have a particular religion. I believe in all religions and respect them. I just take some good ideas from every religion particularly from Buddhism.

kik,

I'm also a rationalist, realist and I can deduce well. If you never got to play as a child outside with other children, and you grow up to become lonely. You'll want the company of that which you missed out on. Just because hes an ADULT and theyre CHILDREN does not mean *bleep*!

*bleep* is a disorder and MJ did not exhibit anything that would make you question if he had that disorder. But the media wanted him to, so people like you, believers of the BS, are born.

My friends at school told me he was dead, I dident believe them. But in ICT I checked on the BBC News, and, they were right! He is dead. And he died at 10:6 at night. There was a documentry on him beacause he died. Now that I know that Micheal Jackson is dead, I will give my friend £5. I told my mum, and she said "What? He can't be dead." Then, the news came on. And the woman, provely, said "Micheal Jackson's body has been taken by helicopter to hospital." And my mum said "Gosh! Oh my god! I liked some of his music!". We went home and watched the documentry.

My favourie song from him was Thriller, especially the first part. He was an excellent dancer, singer, and popstar.

Rest in peace, Micheal Jackson. I hope that Steps won't play Tragedy at your funeral.

I would just like to throw this in:

Okay, he's dead, and we can grieve, but don't say he's the best performer ever. Okay, he was popular, and he made some catchy tunes, but it's a slap in the face to every other star who didn't die a tragic death. (No one here has said that Michael Jackson is the best performer ever, but I see it a lot on other sites.)

Rest in peace Michael Jackson.

He was so great and popular that his death caused a tidal wave.

http://www.michaeljackson.com/ recently started taking "memories" about MJ. Everyone who has something to say can post there. It's amazing to see how many people post their memory every single second. Just refresh the page a few times then wait 20 seconds and refresh, check the number of people who posted... it's crazy.

Rest in piece Michael Jackson.
Some catchy tunes? Average performers do catchy tunes, legends inspire and change the world with their art. No other performer has achieved his greatness.

I'm not saying he wasn't great. Sheesh. And I like how people minus me, as if to say, "No, Michael Jackson was the best singer ever."

The guy dies, and all of a sudden he's a legend. In my opinion, people are just jumping the band wagon now that he's no longer thought of as a pedophile.

Amen brother.

People are all of a sudden acting as if his death was the holiest of all deaths known to mankind.

I told my mom: "His death seems to be held in higher respect than that of Jesus' even!". She concurred.

This is pathetic, and makes me pretty sick to see how much of an idol he was to so many people.

Yes, he might have been done well in the music industry, whatever. That doesn't and shouldn't make him God status though.

He's dead, there's one less *possible* pedo on this earth, you won't find me crying.

I definately agree that now he's a only a legend because he's dead. He felt betrayed by most of us when those allegations came out, because the majority believed it. Yes he liked kids, but only because he never had a childhood himself. He was fascinated by kids and their lifestyles because that's what he craved. But its very sad that it takes the man's death for people to realise how much of a significant contribution he made to music.

To me, he was always a legend, before death and after, and he will always be innocent imo.

Y'know, and I'll probably get flamed for this, but if Kurt Cobain from Nirvana were still alive today, people would think of him as a dumb white guy who takes too many drugs, instead of idolizing him as a legend.

"And when you die, you'll become something worse than dead... you'll become, a legend..." -band, Faith No More. And so true. Becoming a legend AFTER death sucks so bad.

Its hard to say Grimm, Cobain was at the peak during his death, and MJ was 20 years passed his peak and was at the bottom of a hill trying to climb back up.

Cobain kept getting better, like Lennon, and we'll never know how they would have turned out.

MJ's thriller is Cobain's Nevermind, but both had exceptional talent. MJ faded away while Cobain burned out.

BUT the sad thing is your doctor kills you with an overdose.

Well, Cobain could only have gone down. There's no way you can stay so popular for so long. It's what happened with MJ before he died. Think about bands like Guns N' Roses, they were pretty popular back in the day, but now I don't hear anyone talking about them.

But you're right, it's hard to say.
