Xbox 360 games download service to include classic Xbox back-catalog as well
Microsoft has re-christened their Xbox Originals digital download game catalog to pave the way for their Xbox 360 game download service on Xbox Live. Now a part of Microsoft's "Games on Demand" service, the digital distribution platform for Xbox and older Xbox 360 games will expand in August with around 30 Xbox 360 titles. Initial 360 game downloads will include Assassin's Creed, BioShock, Crackdown, LEGO Star Wars, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. New releases are promised each week.
Microsoft will also introduce a credit card payment option for Games on Demand, in case gamers can't be bothered to use their credit card to purchase Microsoft Points instead. Xbox Original titles are currently priced 1200 Microsoft Points (or $15.00 USD) on the Games on Demand portal, and we can probably expect Xbox 360 downloads to be a little pricier.
