Screenshots from the new Cooking Mama 3
Nothing can stop Mama, not even PETA! Majesco is proudly showing off some new screenshots, after showcasing the Cooking Mama 3 demo at E3 this year. And why shouldn't they be proud? Mama saved them from financial demise.
Just last month, on May 11, Majesco announced that their successful Cooking Mama franchise had exceeded 4 million sales across the Nintendo Wii and DS platforms. Not too shabby for the little developer who could, whose most popular mascot is now an adorable anime-esque woman.
Cooking Mama is back for the DS, and Mama is going to make a competent chef out of you, with a rough release set for the holidays. As you may have guessed, it's not too different from the previous titles, but that's okay because we love Mama just the way she is. Seriously, you can't say no to that face, especially when she's wielding a kitchen knife.
In these recent screens, Mama walks the player through making pretty heart-shaped marshmallows, then toasting them over an open flame. I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I'm going to give her the benefit of a doubt because I honestly have no idea how to make marshmallows either, much less pink ones that somehow hold their shape perfectly despite being jammed onto skewers and held over fire.
