A little cache for not much cash
John Lam, of the Far East tech website HKEPC Hardware, managed to score some information on the upcoming E3200 and E3300 CPUs.
My Chinese is a bit rusty, but it appears -- according to Mr. Lam -- that the new pair of chips are due to touch down sometime in Q3 (July-September). Like the existing Celeron E1000 chips, these are dual core 45nm Wolfdale CPUs that will be priced very affordably -- not to mention, they'll probably overclock like heck, presumably a 1GHz or more with only a good air cooler. These processors are also miserly when it comes to power usage, with a TDP of only 65W.

I think that these new pair of chips are more or less convivially venerable.
What's more interesting is that this chip will be a faster version of the Pentium E2210 processor that has only just been released and has the exact same specifications (maybe no VT) as these new Celerons, just at a lower clock frequency. Maybe these will be named Pentium after all, or Intel is phasing out the Pentium name for some cores again.
