Plus other new features
Late last week, we learned a few new things about Activision's Guitar Hero 5. Now the publisher is revealing more about this Fall 2009 title, including its artist lineup.
We already heard about a couple new easy-to-play modes, Party Play and RockFest, and that Guitar Hero World Tour DLC would be compatible with Guitar Hero 5. New gameplay features, enhanced art styles and redesigned core features make up the list of other notable changes.
While the first big press release included eight songs, we now learn that Guitar Hero 5 will feature songs from no less than 85 bands -- Kings of Leon, The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, Santana, Vampire Weekend, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and more.
“Guitar Hero is the music platform for today because it celebrates the social nature of music and brings fans closer to the music and artists they love while allowing them to share and discover music with their friends, family and online communities,” said Dan Rosensweig, president and chief exec of Guitar Hero.
