Hardware and software sales decline drastically at home
Despite some promising figures back in March, Nintendo continues losing its dominance over the Japanese gaming market.
Both Japanese hardware and software sales for the Nintendo DS and Wii have plummeted, while overseas in North America and other regions, the numbers have actually gone up.
With the DSi already on the market, Nintendo isn't about to declare a comeback for the DS and have remained cautious on that front. But the Japanese company remains optimistic about their Wii console, predicting a marginal increase in hardware sales by the end of March 2010.
