Capcom's press event brings us trailers, news, and screenshots galore
Capcom held its annual Captivate press event yesterday in Monaco, promoting its 2009 lineup, so dig in to "Part one" as we supply you with all the goods.
First up we have the sci-fi adventure Dark Void -- take a little Rocket Man, a little "ground-pounding combat", mix 'em together, and you have a fair idea of what the game is about. To properly satiate your curiosity in the meantime, have a look at the new set of screenshots and an accompanying trailer below.
The game certainly seems to be shaping up nicely. Still no estimated release date, but maybe that's a good thing, as developer Airtight Games could take all the time they need to make this the best game possible.
Second is Marvel vs. Capcom 2, a fighting classic fans have wanted for years on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network (we're sure Wii owners wouldn't mind some of that love, too, but no dice). Capcom has delivered at last after some hard legal work, and you can get the game this summer for €14.99 PSN/ £11.99 (about $18 USD) or 1200 MS Points,
By the sounds of it, the game will be an even better conversion than Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix was -- the company's PR guy Christian Svennson recently said they'll be using the same net code as it's being brought to you by the same team (Backbone), but aspect ratio support will not be a "zoom and crop" job this time like that game was.
Check out the screens:
And if you missed the initial announcement and trailer, it's right over here. Again, a demo will be available this week on PSN for North Americans, and soon after for European gamers.
Finally, Bionic Commando gets a boatload of new screens, and we've selected the choice ones for you (there were a lot). Feast your eyes:
The game is due out next month -- May 19th for North Americans, 21st for Australians, and 29th for Europeans.
If you're still not satisfied, there are some additional assets and information we've just uploaded to each game's respective profile, so check 'em out!
