The Conduit dated for June 23
Sega and High Voltage Software's Wii-exclusive shooter promises visual quality previously unseen on the relatively weaker console
High Voltage Software's Wii shooter The Conduit seems to be nearing the final stretch as publisher Sega confirms the game is now scheduled for release this June 23rd, cemeting that elusive "Summer 2009" launch. The Conduit has been building buzz for itself thanks to the developer's drive to push the boundaries of what the Wii is capable of technically; the game will feature High Voltage's proprietary Quantum 3 game engine to deliver the goods. Will it live up to the hype and boost the profile of hardcore gaming on the Wii? We can only go by footage like these for the time being.
Speaking of multiplayer, The Conduit promises 13 modes for online play across 9 different maps. The WiiSpeak peripheral is supported for ingame voice chat.

The only thing separating this from a 360 game is resolution. They did a great job with this game, and the PSP could not run this worth shit. Seriously THM, your a nice guy, but keep the fanboyism to yourself. Heck, even fanboys know the PSP cant run this game.
The single player campaign runs fine. The multiplayer videos that they have showed have showed a lees than 60 fps, maybe around like 40, which is not too bad. It looks decent for today's standards, but on the Wii it looks great (although metroid prime 3 looks better). this won't be the most innovative FPS on the market, but an online FPS with Wii controls sounds good enough to overcome any small technical flaws it may have. Even then, they have built this game from the ground up on the Wii, and worked to make sure it looked good, ran well, and felt right. From the looks of it and from comments from people who have played the game, they did just that.
