Buy movies about saving the planet and save the planet
If you care about the Earth and stuff, like films, and also happen to have a PlayStation 3, then tomorrow is your day.
Sony is making it easy for movie-goers to make the planet healthier by honouring the first 10,000 purchases of their "Save Our Earth" titles tomorrow (Earth Day) as $1 donations to Conservation International, a non-profit which aims to protect high-biodiversity wilderness regions and important marine regions around the world.
The titles included in this most special of arrangements are Cloverfield, Hancock, The Abyss (a sci-fi classic we can highly recommend!), and The Day After Tomorrow.
Sony reminds the movies you buy from them can be backed up to external storage and restored to the PS3's internal HD anytime later if you wish, for space saving purposes, or just in case.
On a related note, environmentally friendly video game Trash Panic (Gomibako in Japan) is coming to the PlayStation Network for North Americans this spring; couple screens below.
