Solid State Drive or 'classic' hard drive? That's going to be a tougher question to ask yourself next time you build a computer, as better and larger SSD's continue to come out.
The newest entry to the SSD department is the P256 from Corsair. Here, the "p" denotates performance, while the "256" stands for 256GB's of space.
Corsair is saying that this SSD will be able to sustain write rates higher than Intel's top X25-E SSD model, at around 200MB/S. The P256 uses a Samsung S3C29RBB01-YK40 controller, and has a 64MB cache.
The price? Not cheap. All this performance will set you back somewhere around $750, according to HotHardware.
SSDs are prohibitively expensive still, it seems...
Then don't buy one. It's not for you.
