MTV expands agreement
MTV Networks has signed a deal with Netflix in an expansion on previous agreements, bringing South Park, SpongeBob Squarepants, and more shows to its streaming service as of now, which should bring joy to fans, especially avid ones.
South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have been quick to respond to the needs of fans in the past, releasing the entire series plus extras via Comedy Central and its Canadian equivalent The Comedy Network, stating at the time, "We got really sick of having to download our own show illegally all the time so we gave ourselves a legal alternative."
On a related note, a deal between Disney (including its subsidaries ESPN and ABC, it's presumed) and popular TV and movie streaming service Hulu has been all but sealed, meaning soon all the major networks apart from CBS will have signed on.
