Dawn of War II dominates, The Witcher jumps into Top 100

One of the complaints the public has about PC games charts is they don't seem to incorporate sales from digital distribution services like Steam, Direct2Drive, GamersGate, etc.

This is not at all an insignificant complaint, either; according to Capcom's Christian Svensson, vice president of strategic planning, they expect to sell as much on PC through digital channels as through retail in the future, while GamersGate's CEO is saying the medium will likely soon take over.

With that in mind, it appears popular research group NPD has finally decided to take these sales into account, so we present to you the complete PC sales charts, dating from mid-February to March 2:

We'd like to iterate again (on our own accord, mind you) Dawn of War II is selling just as good worldwide.

On a related note, CD Projekt RED have just announced their hit RPG The Witcher has hopped into the Top 100 selling PC games of all time at 1.2 million copies. Marketing Coordinator for the studio "PanKarol" had this to say:

"We would like to thanks all of you - our fans. We did it once before with the anniversary movie, and we just can’t stop thanking you for making The Witcher a popular choice among PC games. You are the real proof that sometimes going upstream, no matter what people say, is worth taking a risk. Without you, none of this would be possible and none of our dreams would ever come true."

Congrats, guys!

So, after what seemed like countless months of charts which hardly budged, it's great to see some variety in the PC realm finally, and with good numbers. Are we back? We're back aren't we? Things are good, yes? Phwew.
