Been a while since we heard from those guys at ACE Team down in Chile. Today, we finally get more updates on Zeno Clash, nominated for "Excellence in Visual Art" at this year's Independent Game Festival and winner of the "Best Upcoming Indie" award by Mod DB.
Zeno Clash will be available for $20.00 via Steam and Direct2Drive this spring. ACE is still working to rescure a retail publisher, and they've just launched a new blog to keep curious fans updated on their progress.
Seems that ACE is keen on taking advice from gamers. As such, they've added a new Survival Mode, featuring Unlockable Tower Challenges, a ranking system, and Ascending Tower levels.
"We took into consideration the feedback we were getting from the community and we really felt it was important to offer a game component that focused solely on the fun of the combat system that also had a competitive component," said Andres Bordeu, Co-Founder of ACE Team. "We believe we really accomplished our goal with the new Survival Game Mode with friends ranking system. As we have progressed in the development of the new mode we have found it a blast to play and we're eager to see how the stats turn out once players are competing with each other at release."
Developers offer their two cents in a developer diary trailer released today. Below the video, we've got some new screenshots of Zeno Clash, and they look tasty.
