I'm thinking about trading in my 360 and all my games for a PS4. Should I? :S

I would play some games on a PS4 for free first before making that decision if it were me. test it out first you know.

Are you inviting me over to your place to play on your PS4?

Yeah sure sounds like fun--

Wait. What you did there: I see it.

If you don't use your 360 anymore then yeah. :L
But then again most consoles at launch have problems.

I have a spare 360 console I'm wanting to get rid of. Not sure if I just want to sell it now or wait and trade it in for a pre-order. I don't like preordering until 1-2 months in advance though.

Tek, I think you should wait until launch day to trade. You'll have nothing to play from now until then otherwise!

On his profile it says he owns a PS3/WiiU as well. :V
Plus Microsoft canceled most of the exclusives for the 360 to favor the Xbone, and he still has a PS3/PC to play the 3rd party games.

Yep! I have a Wii U, PS3, as well as a decent gaming PC.

The PS4 is really enticing to me at the moment, and games like Destiny, The Division, and Killzone are just making me giddy.

I'd consider it, I mean, depending on where you go of course, you may get the highest trade in value now as opposed to after it comes out, where a lot of other gamers will likely be trying to do the same.

I'd go with it because Microsoft isn't doing a good job of pleasing the consumer lately. Especially at E3, where Microsoft didn't even address those controversies.

At this rate the home console race is going to come down to two companies: Nintendo and Sony, because Microsoft's console division is being run into the ground.

*Ignores all Microsoft hater comments, because nobody's played it and nobody knows what it is just yet, so they should all shut up*

Anyway, I don't think you should. Then again, you're probably turning into a Microsoft hater, too, so, I guess I shouldn't even talk here.

You don't need to play the console to know it's anti-consumerist with all the Used game,DRM, Online connection, etc. Not to mention how Microsoft is telling everyone who dislikes these policies to *bleep* off.
Plus the games he listed were multiplatform or first party exclusive to Sony.

Not hating on Microsoft, just making note of bad business decisions. Microsoft has released some cool games over the years, but this turn that they're taking is not one for the better.

I admit they did a poor presentation, but why do people pay attention to the dumbass people who showed it? I like Microsoft. And the graphics for the XOne look pretty cool and not to mention all the voice command. I like it. Now if they were to actually show some other games besides a bazillion sports games and a new CoD game, yeah, I would've been more interested, but oh well. Like people have said, poor representation.

No offense, but I've never really taken a liking to any kind of PlayStation than the PS2.

I don't see how you can agree with what Microsoft is doing. You aren't purchasing games, you're leasing them. Microsoft is only supporting the 360 for the next 5 years. What happens when the Xbox 2 comes out and they stop supporting the Xbox One, what happens to your games if you don't upgrade to the next generation? How will the "you must authenticate every 24hrs" still work then?

Actually using the console has absolutely nothing to do with why people are up in arms about the Xbox One. It's about their draconian policies regarding DRM, and their lack of forethought to the core group of gamers. I'm not sure if Microsoft has clarified this but I'm still under the impression that everything is behind a pay-wall, meaning if you want to use Netflix, you'll have to be an XBL Gold member.

Then there's things like Kinect is mandatory and has to be on at all times or your console wont work. The whole 24hr must authenticate at least once or your system locks you out; there have been many times when XBL has been down for an extended amount of time; MS goes down, you can't play your Xbox One. This also means people in the military who are over seas cannot use an Xbox One at all because they don't have an active connection to the internet; their official word was if you don't have internet, buy an Xbox 360; that's a pretty harsh way to look at it.

However, I suppose there are a lot of ignorant consumers, such as yourself who just don't care, and their morals aren't affected by such policies. I'm also guessing you live in the US so everything will work out of the box, which is another reason why you aren't really seeing the problems here.

I went on a bit of a tirade but no one here was dissing the Xbox One, and I don't think it's fair to tell people to shut up because their opinion doesn't align with your views. Thanks for the input on weather I should trade in my 360 though!

I will probably wait a bit, but I think the inevitable will be that I trade my 360 in. Microsoft already screwed me over once before and lost my original gamer tag with all of my achievements, and purchases. I'm still pretty bitter about that.

Oh, so you're gonna get pissy because I live in the US, are you? Well guess what, bud, I didn't ask to be born here, I just was. And another thing, I have no idea what you're going on and on about because I've never had a single problem with my 360. If you're gonna use Netflix, you're gonna pay anyway.

You've completely misinterpreted what I've said.

However, I will clarify your confusion with Netflix. You have to pay the following:
  • 360/Xbox One: Internet connection, Xbox LIVE, Netflix
  • PS3/PS4: Internet connection, Netflix
  • Wii/Wii U: Internet connection, Netflix
In other words you need to pay for a service (XBL) in order to use Netflix where as on any other console you don't.

Wii's take forever to load and I've never found any game released on the PS's all that interesting really, other than the big name games (such as CoD and Halo) that were released on all consoles.

Although, one thing bugs me: It's a gaming console, right? So why is Netflix and issue?

Game consoles stopped being solely about gaming since Wii/360/PS3, they're more of an entertainment device for your living room.

It's an issue because you have to pay for a service to view another service that you're already paying for. It's like saying you have to pay an additional $5/mo to your mortgage/rent in order to be allowed to access the food you bought that's in your fridge.

In other words, trash all your other Entertainment crap from your living room and get a(n) WiiU/XboxOne/PS4. Bleh, whatever. I still like Microsoft, and the world would be boring as hell if everyone liked the same stuff, so I'm over it.

I just wish people would stop beating the XBO to death every chance they get. Looks like it's just one of the many things that's ready for the Online Hate Machine.

"Currently, you will lose access to your game licenses if permanently banned"

So if you're banned on Xbox Live you apparently can't play on your Xbox One? Because it and Live are so god damn linked? .-.

Just thought I'd pop in with that.

And I would totally just trade in the 360 and all the games. What games though? =o

No, you'd be able to make a new account.
It's always been like this. If you download all your games on your 360/PS3 and then you get banned you'd lose access to the downloaded games.
The major problem with the Xbone is that every game even the retail discs are installed so if you get banned on the Xbone even your discs will become useless.

8| I had no idea there were so many strange policies with Xbox one. I've always been a PS nut but I slowly converted to Xbox because of the achievements, but one thing I don't like that I'm going to be tracked, even though it's not personal and I don't do anything wrong... Xbox is seriously creeping me out, and I mostly dislike that you HAVE to have Kinect on all of the time and it tracks your mood if you're smiling or upset.... I will feel like a experimental monkey in the luxury in my own home 8| but none the less a monkey xD
"what will entice the monkey, *waves banana*"

No no no.. I don't like it >.>
As for the question, I would have a hard time giving up the 360, but PS4 I think you should get 8>
