| Biography: |
Psychologist: Edwin J. Myers, MD
Patient: Forrest R. Carver
Age: 19
Sex: M
Diagnosis: At a glance, Forrest seems to be an average college student. However, beneath this thin masque hides a far different persona. Most striking is his intensity, both in lifestyle and in social interactions. He seems almost too sarcastic, stubborn, and rude to be believed. There is some truth to this statement; he will often say things that are wholly unacceptable and potentially hurtful, yet he does not seem to acknowledge this and assumes that it is all right. He is argumentative, but it is fruitless to debate him because even if he is aware of his mistakes, he will adamantly, (and sometimes vehemently) defend them. He makes blunt, off-color statements that often leave people with a very bad impression. Although it appears that he is listening to you, chances are he is simply formulating the next thing he will say and disregarding all of your statements. Most unsettling, however, is the fact that he is completely intolerant of the aforementioned qualities in any other person; a hypocrite in every sense of the word. Forrest's actions are equally distasteful. It seems that his need for attention has no bounds and he will often prove this by placing himself in extremely dangerous and particularly stupid situations, such as jumping off a building or diving into an icy river. Attempting to upstage him in any way will almost always lead to an even bolder and more reckless action, or simply a violent interaction. Encouraging this behaviour will most likely lead to his early death or irreparable physical damage. Despite this, Forrest is generally very lazy and apathetic, devoting very little time to academics or other important ventures. He seems far more interested in drinking to excess and simply having a good time. My study of Forrest has yielded few to no honorable characteristics, and I see very little that he could contribute to society as a whole.
