Ibanez guitars - Some of the best guitars i've played. Whilst some say that Ibanez standards and options are not what they used to be, i've been impressed by Ibanez ever since day 1. The neck profile is the best thing since Wayne Brady's songstyles and the RG has one of the most comfortable bodies i've ever tried. Not to mention, their tremolo units feel and play so effortlessly - *bleep*ing magical. Mayhaps i'm just a hapless Ibby fanboy but if I were ever to make it big and get endorsed, there's no other brand i'd consider other than Ibanez. Great guitars.
Meshuggah - Best band i've ever heard? Maaybe >_>. Some consider these guys to be pretentious and write complex music just for the sake of it. I disagree because personally I find their music, whist complex, to be enjoyable. I like how they did something no one had ever done before (polymetric metal, de-tuned 8-strings) and made it sound great. It's technical but not flamboyant or mindless wankery with a distinct style and that's what I like about Meshuggah. Not to mention, their tone crushes.
