I got the super super deluxe special edition of this. I got all kinds of neat stuff and a necklace, which I wore even if it was a chick's :D I wore it to Middle School, and a couple of people actually recognized it and we started talking about the game. This other chick wore it, so people thought we were going out or something, but she was just a friend...I promise! I loved the voice-acting and music, and I couldn't wait for a cut-scene! I remember one that was pretty hot and involved a bath tub :O. I sold it on eBay much later for more than I paid for it! Success! |

I remember reading about this game in magazines, reading about how I can kick dogs and the freedom you have. I was hyped!! And it didn't disappoint. I drew the cover of the instruction book for school and did a collage on the game (this was in Elementary School). It was pretty freakin' good :cool: |

When I was younger I remember thinking the cut-scenes to be pretty violent, which made it even cooler. I actually cut the front cover of the instruction book off, and scanned it onto a sleeveless T-Shirt. It was my favorite T-shirt in Elementary School. I WORE IT ALL THE TIME. I don't know what happened to it ;(, but my friends thought it was awesome and were totally jealous! |

I first played this on a demo disc when I was a member of the Playstation Underground. The first time I played it, I absolutely could not get past the guards! I kind of didn't know it was supposed to be all stealthy at first :D So I always sounded the alarm and couldn't get the elevator to work, so I stopped playing. One of my best friends in Elementary School, James Arce, really liked this game. He even drew a map of how to get past the security cameras. I decided to give it another shot after I knew I was supposed to hide, and after getting on the elevator, I fell in love with the game and eventually the series. I then went on to play every single Metal Gear game ever made and did a bunch of FAQs and work on the Metal Gear Portal. So you see, I have loved this series since my early days of Elementary School. Metal Gear Solid remains to this day my most completed game of all time. I seriously have beaten it over 10 times and have done every single thing possible! Oh, and I wrote this on June 14th, 2007 just in case I end up replaying a game over and over more than this game and the above statements become false D: |

Scary. Even scarier was the voice-acting. Jill was a total babe though. The advertisement in Next-Gen magazine scared the shit out of me when I first saw it. I never got that magazine again, and actually had lots of nightmares because of it. I'm not even joking ;(. I was in Elementary School dammit! |

Then I begged to play it. It was scary as *bleep*. Me and my Dad played through this game together, along with the first game and third game, Nemesis. |

Sony came to Fort Riley (military base where I used to live) and held a special event, complete with a trailer full of game stations and coupons off Playstation games. I got this game for $2 with one of those coupons. The game was a surprise hit for me. I never played a game like it before, and me and my friend Ruben came up with these big back stories on the characters and stuff to give us more reason to beat the shit out of them :# |
