The voice acting is superb, and the art can still be beautiful, even if it isn't realistic. The story is very interesting and very engaging. Once you get into it you can't stop watching, it's just too cool. The action is exciting and well paced. There's nothing in this show that is at all a copy of something else, and the sense of originality and unique-ness is very gratifying(sp?). Also this game has good, exciting, and adrenaline-activating music. I love the begining song. 10/10 Cowboy Bebop: This is easily the finest art work for an anime I've ever seen. At times I have to wonder how many hours of painfully careful work it must've taken to create this show. Putting aside it's looks, this show also has in it some of the best and more famous voice actors I know. The skill in the dialouge and the fun I have just listening to it all (from goofy arguments to mod bosses negotiating) is enough to make me cry. The story is one of the best I've heard, and I curse myself for not having written this story myself (but then again, I was just a kid when this was made). The music is...beyond most everything I've heard, altho there are a few songs that can match it, but believe me, the musicians here are...the best. Please watch this show! 10/10 Trigun: Again this is a show not based on it's looks. The art isn't perfect, but it fits the attitude the show takes, since at times, the show can be quite goofy and silly, but it's all good. Voice acting includes several good actors that I've heard before, and they do a marvelous job despite some silly lines. The story can be hard to follow, and most of the episodes don't add to the main storyline, but if you see the key episodes you'll understand how much this show rocks. The music fits in well altho the ending credits music is a bit creepy and annoying, but all in all it's time well spent watching this one. 9/10 Inuyasha: The art work is very good, but not great (like in CowB) but it's pleasing to the eye nonetheless (especially during fight scenes). The voice acting is alright, but not the show's strong point. The story is good, altho at times it gets a little boring and predicable (if only they'd end this quest and start another). But it's the music and the action that make this show worth watching. The fighting is cool (if a bit bloody at times) and it's thrilling and a little scary sometimes when things get desperate for our heroes. But the music really brings it all together, from the soft melodies during flashbacks and mushy parts, up to the scary, exciting and intoxicating action parts. 8/10 Fooly Cooly: One of the more controversial anime's I've seen, this is one that the little tykes might not get. The art work has me torn, since while it can seem loose and sloppy, in the end it really works out, and fits the style of the show, so ultimatly while you might not like it, it really does fit in with this show. Voice acting is good, but I don't recognize any voices (this show isn't about long, and emotional dialouges at all). The story is confusing at first, but since the show is only about 6 episodes long, the last episode will explain it all (and that isn't very long to wait). Once oyu do understand the story I think you'll agree with me that it's actually pretty cool. The music is at that level with the CowB music I mentioned earlier. It's trully masterful but not with the same dignity as other shows. If not for the all too often sexual hints this show would be close to perfect. Cover the little 'un's eyes and it's all good. 8/10 .Hack/Sign: Unfortunatly this show is on only once a week, so it's hard to keep up with the story unless you really have no life. The art work is awesome, right there next to CowB. The voice acting is okay, altho the The main character could put in a little more effort. The story is torturously slow, so you might not have the patience to watch this show unfold (I'm getting pretty anxious myself) and whenever you see any action it's usually too short and too simple. The music is great, but it can put you to sleep alongside the action. Sorry, but only peeps into the videogames should watch this. 7/10 Kenshin: The art work seems choppy and in need of some cleaning, but it's got a feel to it that I like (again, fitting the mood of the show). The voice acting is good, even though the actual script can be annoying and stupid. The action is excellent, but only if the people fighting would shut the hell up and remember that their life is on the line, along with the show's ratings. The music can be good, but it's not the strong point. Really it's the story with is the strong point. If you're into history, or japan, or samuris (or all of these) then just watching and listening and learning about what's going on and how things work in that place at that time is cool. Don't watch if the story doesn't interest you, because that's the best part. 7/10 Blue Gender: Finally we come to the show that I've been looking forward to beating on for some time now: This show is weak! The plot is predictable and dull, completely uninspired, with only giant bugs as the unique part. The art work is terrible (I'll mention why later). And the voice acting is mediocre. The two main characters make for a frustrating and predictable story: First there's the guy who was frozen and has been brought back in the future to find that the world sucks, and all he can do about it is complain, complain, complain, save the day, complain, complain, save the day again, complain. If it weren't for his body you could easily mistake his terribly feminine voice and face to be a woman with short hair (he has sideburns that look like a girls). Then we have the stereotypical emotionless, and heartless lady with a soft side at her core. Having survived a traumatic childhood she grew to become the most uninspired, superficial cruel, but sensitive, cold-beuty, feme-fatal chicks with a gun. Her jaw line is so poorly drawn that when she's facing forward her head looks like a spade like you might see on a playing card. Honestly it's the most unrealistic and lazily designed face I've ever seen being used for a main character. The Show consists of a long and drawn-out soap-opera between two emotionaly torn losers, but in order to keep the viewers from shooting their tv. There's a monster with a new and challening form of armor that they have to, and always DO defeat in every episode. Literally, there is a single monster for each episode which almost kills them, but doesn't, because they shoot it in that one sensitive spot, that every single monster happens to have. The worst thing about these monsters (which the show relies on for a plot) is that their mouths are sometimes shaped like a female's lower quarters, and I just can't help but feel sick when I see blood burst out in every single episode. There I said it. This show is terrible please don't waste your 30 minutes watching it! 2/10 because someone out there believes this show is good, so I'm giving it 2 points. Gundam Wing: This has got to be one of the best animes of all time! I loved the art, not too bold or powerful like CB, but not blurry like the oldies. It's just in the middle. The Story is very cool, very fascinating and fun to follow. The characters are all likable in one way or another (unless they are made to be unlikeable on purpose), and the gundams are cooler in this series than in any other. They're so differnt, and unique! Creative weapons galor, and to top it all off there are more philosophies and issues discussed in this series than in any other. Back when Toonami was only starting out, this was the top dog, it's a damn shame they don't show it nowadays. 10/10 SD Gundam: The funniest, and goofiest of the Gundam series' this one has the sharpest, most perfectly drawn lines. But I'm pretty sure it's computer animated, and so it really doesn't deserve as much credit. The voice acting is good considering the silly script, altho some characters sound way too wimpy. The little gundams and mobile suits are all as adorable and super excellent as could be, I know it sounds weird, but I just can't get over how cute they look! A solid anime-ish story, I must say this show is far better than you'd think. 9/10 More reviews will come with more shows. My Stamps:
