Basic
Transperancy:
Create a basic 500x100 pixel banner with a
transperant background. Create
a new layer.
Never
at any point make any design on the first
layer.
Create
a gradient. for this we'll use standard
blue and white.
Blue
will serve as the foreground and white will
be the background color.
Select
Gradient if you already haven't done so.
Proceed to the top area under the file/edit/image/layer
[...] section.
select the gradient option icon with the
black on the top and bottom and the white
in the center. It should be titled reflective
gradient.
Go
to the center of the image and click and
hold. Drag the cursor to the lower left
corner of the image or a bit further if
you wish.
You'll
now have a full spread gradient across the
image using the colors selected.
Select
Filters -> Brush Strokes -> Spatter
Set
Spatter at:
Spray Radius: 25
Smoothness: 9
Click
ok and proceed
Make
a new layer
Use
the rectangle marquee tool to make a small
bar across the top of the banner. Hold Shift
and drag down a slightly larger rectangle
going down on the right side
(note:
make sure that there's room on both sides
of the box and that you're not at the edge
of the image if so click elsewhere and start
your selections again.)
Select
the paint bucket and make sure blue is your
foreground. Paint the new selection you
made with the paint bucket.
Select
Filter -> Render -> Clouds
Select Filter -> Brush Strokes ->
Crosshatch
Set
the following values:
Stroke Length: 10
Sharpness: 14
Strength: 2
Click
ok
Select
Filter -> Brush Strokes -> Dark Strokes
Set
the following:
Balance: 5
Black Intensity: 5
White Intensity: 5
Click
on layer 2 and make a new layer
Layer 4 should be between layers 2&3
if it isn't then arrange the new layer to
be there
Select
Gradient and make sure the settings have
not changed from their original position
in the start.
On
Layer 4 drag the gradient from the lower
left corner to the center. you should have
a blue fade from the corner into white across
the rest of the image.
Click
Filter -> Artistic -> Cutout
Set
the following:
No. of Levels: 8
Edge Simplicity: 7
Edge Fidelity: 1
Click
Ok
Select
Filter -> Brush Strokes -> Sprayed
Strokes
Set
the Following:
Stroke
Length: 20
Spray Radius: 25
Stroke Direction: Horizontal
Click
Ok
Take
note of the layer tab now. Change the value
normal to Color Burn down the list.
Click
on layer 3 and change that to color burn
as well.
Go
back to layer 4 now.
Click
Eliptical marquee.
Hold
shift and drag out a circle. Position it
so only the top and bottom are cut off in
the image on the right hand side.
Make
a new layer.
Layer
5 should now be produced.
Select
Filter -> Brush Strokes -> Sprayed
Strokes
Click
ok as your settings should be saved from
it's last usage.
Make
an inner circle inside now. Once created
hit delete to make a hole in the circle.
Click
on normal in the layer tab and change the
value to Soft Light.
Click
on layer 3
Make
a new layer. Layer 6 should be on top of
layer 3.
Leave
this project open and make a new file of
2 pixels High x 1 pixel wide
Select
the pencil tool. Set the brush size to 1.
The pencil tool is found under the brush
tool.
Zoom
in to 1600% and fill in the top pixel only
leaving the bottom pixel transperant still.
Click
edit -> Define Pattern
Name
the pattern you just made.
Go
back to your project now
Click
on layer 6
Select
Rectangular Marquee
Make
box with a bit more height than the top
bar you make on layer 3 at the bottom. Select
the paint bucket. At the top bar where it
says Fill: change it from foreground to
pattern. Once there select the pattern in
the drop down box that you just made.
Go
to the marquee area that you just made and
now fill it with the pattern.
You
should now have a white interlace field
at the bottom of the image of about 5-6
lines.
Slap
your name on it in any font which you might
find off of google's search and you're completed. |
