When we woke up, we got ready. We trudged out of our house with scuffling feet. No matter who you are the first day of school is nerve-racking. The first day is the most important. The way you act, dress, and talk will define the position you will have in what is known as the Popularity Pyramid or Ladder.

Like any pyramid, this pyramid has the most important at the top. At the top is your Cheerleaders; Preppy Kids; Rich kids; and the All Star Jocks. The next level is the Rebels; Non All Star Jocks; Drug Addicts and Sex Addicts; and Bad Ass Chicks. The third level consists of the Goth/Emo Kids; Smart Kids (different from geeks and nerds); Overachievers; and your average wannabes and posers. The last and bottom level consists of the Nerds and Geeks that have no social life; the truly invisible kids; creeps and weird kids; and the antisocial and loners.

And this pyramid becomes even more important when entering High School, because going into High School can be like going into a piranha’s tank for a new kid."
