ONO'S SIGNATURES OF EVERAGOTIMES. I hope you appreciate it, it took forever going through the hundreds of pictures on Photobucket. :L
This is a collection of signatures I've used, 'cept for one which I will mention later in the long boring read.
Oldest to Newest.
Oi, the old Pit Banner. Not bad for the first Paint Banner that started off my graphic design obsession. I can still consider using this once in a while if I really cared.
Well everyone starts off with the powdery crud on Paint, so this was mine. Grayscale courtesy of Microsoft Image Editor, which was the first high-tech design program that I had. :|
LoloneofmyfirstGIMPbanners. This was the first one that I made as stated before a couple of words ago, and I was proud of myself for it. This was before I knew about blending changes, hence why it's so bright and retardedlooking.
Wowza, this is the start of the dust storm-tech abuse on my banners during this stage. I used this over and over again, thinking it looked good whilst the members of G+A facepalmed their heads.
See above, only change start to "a couple of banners into the"
See above, only change start to "near the end of the"
NEEDS MOAR LENS FLARE, NEED I SAY MORE?
This is the end of the dust abuse, and the beginning of the lens flare abuse (and grunge brush, come to think about it). Stereotypical newcomer to GIMP. :P
Well... not too bad. No complaints from me here, but beginning of some Arcane Brush abuse.
Grunge Brush and now, instead of lens flare... supernova! And yes, Azula would be my anime love. Go tell everyone now for all I care. ._.
FATBAR STUFFS. This is trying to recreate the UBs from Blades of Vanity by Defunct. I failed.
I forgot about this. The vector brushes. Not bad, but still could be better. Stock was horrible, to be honest.
See above.
First well excecuted, clean cut banner. I'm proud of it, and still doesn't look bad compared to my newer stuff either.
LANDMASTER!!!1111ONE111!1
Brush Backgrounds, everyone hits it now and then. This was the prime of said technique.
This is what finally made Ecto5 introduce the whole "1 tutorial a week" thing to me, which helped me a lot. Thanks, Ecto, if you've been bugged to read this.
Vine brush smudging, gradients and star brushes. Need I say more?
Not bad. I'd rate this around my 4-6th best GIMP banner. Oh yeah, and I've never played a Fire Emblem game before. This guy just looked cool.
Ooh, first banner from South Korea that I made. Just random scanline stuff, not too bad. My main complaint is my text choice, which should've been a more retro-feel.
Skills were slipping in South Korea, and this banner proves it. So much stuff to do during the day, and exhausted when coming home that I lost most my skill by this banner.
Motion Blur, anyone? This was the first banner that led into my current style for GIMP which is: Semi-desaturated, with any sort of Grungy feeling to it. Seriously, this was marking the end of my GIMP usage.
See above.
Ooh, grunge and scanlines.. with the start of the outer-glow text. With color too. I like this banner, probably my 3-5th best GIMP banner.
Yeshyesh, a very good GIMP banner if I say so myself. Very fitting for the theme "Villian" in my biased opinion.
Redo of Sothe. Now with more vibrant, bold colors.
Best abstract piece for GIMP I've made I think.
We are now at the end of the GIMP banners. By this banner, I could locate any tool in GIMP, and I new it by the back of my hand. Any advanced tutorial was no problem now, after about 3 months of experience this is the end, thus, moving on to Photoshop CS.
Oh, but I lied before! Next is for really the CS banners, I promise. This was Aether's 1-up mushroom tutorial, remade for GIMP.
Not bad at all for my first banner in Photoshop I must say. Photoshop was very hard to get used to, but I new I had to move to it because GIMP was very limited and well... as the name suggests, gimped compared to PCS. So yeah, I skimmed over Tears of Insanity's polygon clipping mask tut, and this was the result of newbie-reading.
YUSH! First successful banner made from a tut, and my second overall banner for Photoshop.
Failed attempt at Steve's sprite splatter tut. :|
See Skull Kid, though this was my tribute to Rich Burlew for making Order of the Stick. You rock, man. :P
See above only this is better. Funny, Smashlegends.net (run by gotenks992 and Tidus Strife) said this was their most advanced tutorial, and I could do it about 1 week into Photoshop.
Well I never used this as a signature, but it deserves to be here seeing as it's the first banner I've made and been very very proud of. I think it looks awesome, to be honest. Or maybe it's just me. :|
Self obsession much? I made the logo after staying up at night. I sketched it on a piece of paper, and stuck it near my alarm clock for later. A simple logo, effective. I like it.
Ripped straight from my Digiport header, this marks the beginning of the sketchy looking text sigs, which will go on for quite some time now seeing as I love this type of typography.
2nd sketchy. I see a trend.
