Star Wars, and most mastermind villains, because stupid villans are annoying, and the smart ones make for a hell of a good read. Besides, without the villians, there isn't a hero now is there?

I was born from the shadows thenselves, to lead the Shadow Army to destroy the light... only one thing is stronger than the Shadows, and that is the Darkness...

The shadows are cast by the light that you humans hold so dear... so to destroy the Shadows, you have to destroy the light... and destroying the light, will unleash a greater evil... the Darkness... and once you are consumed by the darkness... no light can illuminate it...
