Welcome to my Neohome!

I FINALLY created a neohome as you can see. I was able to make the image map you see here thanks to a bit of viewing of the HTML/CSS/Neohome Forum on Neo, and an external site's (elated.com) sample code .

The external site's code was for the image mapping, and the neo code (courtesy of Prometheusx303) was used for anchors (the 'pages' the links on the image map link to). I had a problem at the end, and bobbonew came to my rescue and fixed the issues I was having, I thank him greatly for his assistance, helping a out poor me, and my rusty and inadequate HTML/CSS skills XD

Basically, I found that sticking the Anchor code could be stuck inside the Image Map's code to work together (if one didn't do this, attempts to link to anchors would result in a 'page not found' error, as it would attempt to use URL instead of the on-page anchor.

If you want to know how to do this, either view this page's source code, or use the handy-dandy auto- comple PM link below to give Me a holler.

Autocomplete PM (Opens new tab)

You might remember the above post from my old Neoblog Post. Yes, I have now confirmed that when using HTML, square brackets work fine. My idea my not have been new (darn), but at least it works.
Well, nothing to much to say here.

I'm a video gamer, anime otaku, social recluse, and all around nerd/geek.

I'm not particularly awesome with technology, particularly on the hardware side (Took me 10 hours to put together my PC, though it worked just fine in the end, no probs), but I'm still better than anyone else in my family (including extended family, I think).

I don't remember specifically why I joined neo, but if I recall correctly, I was looking up info on some game, perhaps from the .hack series (original quadrilogy of games, namely the first game). In any case, I've made a lot of posts since then (over 14000 in about six and a half years at current, that's over 2000/year on average!)

Despite liking anime, I can't draw all that well at all....Then again, how many of us game lovers can make video games eh?

 My Fave Games
Note: Just the games I spent the most time on pretty much, I have a LOT of games I like a lot, but I'm too lazy to list them all XD Check my collection link below for my full list of games (though I have a bunch of games I'm not that fond of too)

My Fave Movies - Neo list of my game, movie, TV series, and book collection.

Playstation (PS/PS2/PS3/PSP)
  • Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness (PSP) - Across the various iterations of it I have played a combined 400+ hours I believe. - PS2 Version, DS Version (moderator)
  • Fallout 3 (GOTY)
  • Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories (PS2) - Didn't like it as much as the first, but it is still a great game - PSP Version
  • Disgaea 3 (PS3) - Like the other Disgaea games, the graphics are dated, but the gameplay is solid and fun. IMO D3 is better than D2, though not as good as D1.
  • Makai Kingdom (Ps2) - Another NIS game (Disgaea fame). A bit different (no grid) but same basic gameplay. I spent more time and effort on this game, than Disgaea 2 (partly because I was waiting for D2's release).
  • Burnout Paradise (PS3) - My main fave Racing Game. I don't like the genre much, and when I do I generally prefer the arcade style (Super Mario Cart, Wipeout HD, etc). Still, I got pretty far in this, it was my first platinum trophy game too (I earned it twice over, pretty much).

PC
PC Specs:	Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit
CPU: Core 2 Duo E5200 2.5GHz (no OC)
GPU: Powercolor Radeon 4870 (No additional OC)
RAM: 4GB in Dual Channel (2x2GB)
Monitor:	BenQ 21.5" 1920x1080 16:9 HD resolution
HDD: 1x500GB (OS/Programs), 2x1TB (media)

My Fave Movies
' (Blu) ' denotes I have the blu-ray of it
  • Die Hard (Quadrilogy) - Link to the first on IMDB, but I like them all (kinda partial to the 3rd though).
  • Indiana Jones (Quadrilogy) - Link to first one on IMDB, but I like em all.
  • Atlantis: The Lost Empire - Good art, and I like the mythology of Atlantis. Funny and enjoyable movie.
  • The Dark Knight (Blu) - Predictable, but it IS a very good movie.
  • Mononoke Hime - An anime movie, it was one of the first anime movies I watched, and I watched the taped recording over and over again (something I'm not known for).
  • The Increadibles - Superpowers meets CG animation and comedy? Win!
  • Tinker Bell (Blu) - Yes, a Disney spin-off of a classic, but pretty CG flic and pleasant story. Sequel is good too.
  • James Bond: Goldeneye - I think the first James Bond film I watched. Sexy co-star, gadgets, and suave main character = win. Don't like the newest Bond films so much.

My Fave TV Shows
' (Blu) ' denotes I have the blu-ray of it
  • Stargate: SG-1 - Great sci-fi series about traveling to other worlds via wormholes, rather than ships.
  • Stargate: Atlantis - Better visuals, and interesting story in its own right.
  • Star Trek: Voyager - I like TNG (Jean Luc!) and even Enterprise (Hoshi & T'pol) a fair bit, but Voyager is my fave Star Trek.
  • Farscape - Saw the occasional bit of it years ago, but I recently got the boxset for a good price, almost done S1 and loving it ^_^
  • Angel - Vampire with a soul? Interesting. I am more into this spin off than the original series (BuffY). I SHOULD get Buffy sometime though.
  • Teen Titans (Cartoon) - Cute and funny at times. Good show, particularly for kids. *is a child at heart* XD
 Content Box 1
Forthcoming. For now check my Neo Gallery for some of my image editing in various albums.

 Watching

TV Shows

Farscape
Next Up: Season 01, Episode 21

Saw the occasional bit of it years ago, but I recently got the boxset for a good price, almost done S1 and loving it. Also, if you're familiar with Stargate SG-1, you'll notice TWO of the characters in Farscape appear in Stargate. They must have liked working together or something Claudia black is great <3

I have the whole season as I said, but considering each episode is 50 minutes long, it's going to take at least a few weeks to finish, probably over a month unless I rush it.

Angel
Next Up: Season 02, Start

Vampire with a soul? Interesting. I am more into this spin off than the original series (BuffY). I SHOULD get Buffy sometime though.

I have all 5 seasons too, though I only recently finished the second one. It's going to take me a while to finish TBh.

Other Series Ongoing (over Cable)
Not keeping a close eye on these, just watching them whenever

House, NCIS, Heros (way behind)

Anime

Kimi ni Todoke

Next Up: Season 01, Episode 09

Really enjoying this for some reason. It is a slice of life and romantic comedy centered around Sawako (aka: 'Sadako', the ghost from the Ringu/Ring movies). She is considered a bit creepy and thought to have paranormal powers, but she's really just a shy, reserved girl who's very good-hearted. After talking to Kazehaya, the most popular boy in school and universally adored by all, she slowly becomes a bit more assertive about her feelings, and starts making friends in the class, and people start understanding that she's really just a good hearted person.

Not out in North America, but it's currently being fansubbed (SHHHHH!).

Dragonball Kai

Next Up: Planet Namek (Frieza) Saga, Episode 34

Put simply, Dragon Ball Kai is Dragon Ball Z remastered in HD, and recut. There is less filler, and the aspect ratio is now widescreen. Otherwise it is pretty much the same as DBZ.

Not out in North America, but it's currently being fansubbed (SHHHHH!).
