Favourite game: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

This is the game that got me into gaming. This game had everything... the freedom; the customization; the west-coast, gangster atmosphere; the missions; the locations; the music; the community... the NOSTALGIA!

Favourite film: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Probably the best western film out there, and in my opinion the best of all! There's not much to say except that it's simply brilliant and hits the nail on the head in every aspect. If you want to know more just watch it!

Favourite song: Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
  • Biography

I'm known as Braden on Neoseeker. If you want to play with me on PSN or Xfire add me as "bscutajar".

I consider myself a dedicated gamer after gaming literally all my life. I started playing Amiga 500 games such as Silkworm, Pacman and Vroom. At the same time, we owned Windows 98 and I remember playing Croc: Legend of The Gobbos Demo, Pandemonium (the first one), V-Rally: Championship Edition and Recoil. The second and latter were my favourites. I remember my friend used to own a PlayStation 2 at that time and owned Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City. Whenever I went to his house, playing these games was the first thing I used to do. It was such an ecstatic feeling playing them.

After a long, long time stuck with Amiga and Win98 I got a PlayStation 2 for Christmas of 2004. I got several games with it; including GTA: San Andreas. It was the best moment of my life. The "Thank You" and my excitement for a present was 100% genuine for once. I absolutely ADORED GTA: San Andreas. I used to play it non-stop all day with my friend on the Amiga monitor, which made some of the games, including GTA: San Andreas black and white. It was, is and may still be the best game I have ever played in my entire life. In the mean time, we got a new computer with Windows XP. And finally a CRT TV for my PlayStation 2 . I used the PC only for searching about GTA: San Andreas; i used to go on GameWinners, GameSpot and GTA Domain.

Summer of 2005, we went on a holiday to Canada for a month and I missed the PlayStation 2 a lot. I never stopped thinking about it, but still enjoyed my holiday. The next scholastic year started, and I couldn't concentrate on my school work. I was also starting to get hooked on RuneScape and played it for the whole scholastic year. I regret it. On February 25th, I stumbled across a website named Neoseeker while searching for GTA: San Andreas myths. I became an active member in the GTA: San Andreas forum. At about May/June of 2006 I got God of War and loved it. Couldn't concentrate on annual exams… That summer I got Hitman: Blood Money amongst several other new games and loved them as well. I used to spend a lot of time playing these games with my friend.

Another year passed and Summer of 2007 came. At that time, I stumbled across a free PC game named Soldat. Downloaded it, installed it... instant addiction. Whole summer was spent playing Soldat. I still played PlayStation 2 games at the same time, but my friend bought a gaming PC and forgot about PlayStation 2 games. Plus the PlayStation 2 started to malfunction and some of the games, including GTA: San Andreas were practically unplayable. My friend was addicted to Call of Duty 2. I pretended not to like it since my PC didn't support it... Then Grand Theft Auto IV was announced for April 2008 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. I wanted a PlayStation 3. It was expensive, so convincing my parents to buy it was very, very hard.

One day in Summer of 2008, I slept in the evening and woke up at around 7:00 to find the PlayStation 3 Grand Theft Auto IV bundle beside the sofa. Ecstasy, similar to the moment I got a PlayStation 2. Grand Theft Auto IV was just awesome. I managed to rent Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare from a friend and LOVED it. After two weeks at about level 45, I had to give it back and go back to Grand Theft Auto IV. That summer was also full of other activities and I consider it the best summer ever. Call of Duty: World at War was announced and I got it a few months after it's release in November 2008. Again I loved it.

2009 arrived. I decided to upgrade my PC and upgraded it's RAM, it's hard disk and video card to a GeForce 6200. Now I could play Call of Duty 2 and my old friend GTA: San Andreas. Call of Duty 2 was OK and GTA: San Andreas had apparently lost its “magical” feeling. Then my parents decided to buy me a new PC altogether, so I bought a new Gaming PC and put it right beside my PlayStation 3. I got Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on it and on the day I wrote this, I was playing it.
