My Poetry
Dark Soul
The burning of your intrepid soul,
Shines brightly through the night.
Harbors many mysteries,
Succumbs not to any plight.
Hidden deep inside your soul,
A twisted surreality.
Wounded and with darkness scarred,
Inhumane without pity.
You fear being consummated,
By that which is not light.
Embrace your inner demon,
Or forever will you fight.
Seeking not to destroy,
But nor will it protect.
Welcome it with open arms,
Lest it spread and then infect.
Deny it not its rightful place,
That place within your soul.
Remember this when you pass,
The boatman takes his toll.
Pure heart from your blackened soul,
Has been torn asunder.
Shaken from the mortal coil,
Buried six feet under.
That is it, this is the end,
Dark Soul took its revenge.
Had you but accepted it,
It would not have avenged.

Choices
Behind his shadowed cloak,
there's something you cant see.
A stranger who's a devil,
How his poor heart bleeds.
He wishes for the end,
Of agony and pain.
And to his dark brethren,
Shows nothing but disdain.
He turns his back on family,
They do not show him love.
And so he ventures forth,
To the world that waits above.
Yes he was born a devil,
A heart as black as sin.
And now that love will find him,
His new life now begins.
The man that once was demon,
Was once consumed by wrath.
The choices that he made,
Forged his destiny's path.
You'll never know you saw him,
He looks like one of us.
But should you ever meet him,
Be kind and show him trust.
Our choices make us what we are,
Not who we're told to be.
If you cannot accept this,
It's certain you shalln't break free.
