-Dark Chips subtract one HP permanently and make you slightly more evil.
Megaman Battle Network is a popular franchise that's been going since 2001. It all started with Megaman Battle Network. Then in 2002, Megaman Battle Network 2 came out. Fans of the series were exited to hear it, and it's popularity was growing. In 2003, Megaman Battle Network 3 came out, with 2 different versions; White and Blue. There were small differences, mainly the Gigachip you get in the game. Finally, in 2004, Megaman Battle Network Red Sun and Blue Moon were released. The series of games had gained a lot of popularity since 2001, and the game sold well. In 05 and 06, Megaman Colonal...
Souls are slightly better than styles
Folder building is more challenging
Battle graphics although a bit small are quite detailed
Three playthroughs at LEAST to complete everything
Annoying horrid music
One of the worst storylines i've seen
Terrible, terrible english
Let's get cracking.
Graphics - 9/10
I thoroughly disliked the previous 3 Battle Network games' graphics. However in BN4, they totally changed the look of the graphics. The sprites were smaller, the maps were smaller and everything was brighter. I didn't really mind these changes alot but the thing which made BN4's graphics so special was the design. I loved the design to every detail, the way the viruses looked and Megaman's souls. My only criticism is that the graphics were a bit small and out of proportion.
Storyline - 1/10
At first I thought, oh yay, cool, tournaments, nothing but pure battl...
The good part was the brand new Soul feautre allowing you to combine souls with other navis, also making it more fun.
Ateleast it had tournaments so that you and 4 other friends could play though
Maybe next time they could actually find a storyline though because to be honest, it is one of the worst i've ever seen if not is the worst ever,
Too many to list in here but i'll list a few that I opinion wise thought suckeed ass. Folders are one, construcing a folder was hard specially because of the restrictions, sound was horrible, even the previous installment did better. And lastly, storyline, definetly sucked as if the only thing you did was play in tournaments.Summary:
I'd try looking for a better game unless your one of those mega fans who enjoys playing these type of games.
This game is good in a way because of the new Souls. It has different style from Megaman 1-3.The bad:
The bad part of this game is that once you beat it, you wil have to start everything over again. You can only use 5 battle chips at a time. No add option.Summary:
The game has good details, newer battle chips.
New enemies, and new friends. Different people, newer missions. Alittle easier then Megaman Battle Network 1-3. You can use Old friends powers and have combine Navis. Only can use 5 chips at a time. Megaman looks smaller then 1-3. Boss are a lot harder to beat and with soul too. This game is short and fast to beat. Need more weapons like in Megaman Battle Network 3 blue. The ending is way different from the others it surprising a bit. Over all this game is so-so its not that bad and not that good. It has its good sides and bad sides.
Megaman Battle Network 4 Red Sun is one of the funniest games I've ever played on my GameBoy Advance. And being honest, it's the first Megaman game I ever played. I liked the NT Warrior anime a lot, and then I thought of buying a Megaman game, and seeing as Red Sun and Blue Moon were the latest games, I decided to get Red Sun, while my brother got Blue Moon.
I really recommend this game to the anime fans and to all those people who have played previous Megaman games.
The new soul unison system, excellent sprites, more detailed battle system. Random tournament sequences for each game keep it interesting. Mix of old characters and new. Occassional mini-games as well. The bad:
There are, of course, the occasional annoying searches, like Videoman when you have to walk backwards, but it all comes together as part of the game.Summary:
Another great installment to the series. The sprites are twice as good as the last. Some of the mugshots are a little unorthodox and the occasional annoyance, but all together its a great game. The full storyline is rather short, compared to its predeccessor, but the mastering of skills and collection of key items make it more lengthy, as well as the bonuses of extra souls, chips, and level, it makes it worth it to go through the game in its harder difficulties when you have the free time.
