Don't always trust a professional reviewer...

The good:

Easy to learn and remains fun for a good while,
Huge league pool: Runs 6 national leagues at once which at the time was rather impressive,
Has everything you expect from a manager game (ie: National Teams, all of the proper competitions or at least accurate equivalents, greedy players ) and a few things you don't,
Unlike other manager games where you take an existing club, here you start from scratch (well, to an extent anyways, see The Bad),
Relatively easy to make the 1st division, which is where the fun really starts, am i right?

The bad:

Players lack attribute bars for key skills like Tackling,
Unable to start from lower than division 2, which considering the title and concept of this game is a letdown,
"Full" matches are too short and to compensate the game makes defenders play like crud,
Not to mention Alan Green lacking variety in his commentary and frequently contradicting himself.

- Full Match or Quick Mode: How to watch your games

The bad:

- Bad commentator
- Can't jump the long introduction sequence

Summary:

Let's Make a Soccer Team is a good soccer manager game from Sega. You basically make your very own football club, and take the lead as Chairman. But, you also have a rival, with his very own club, who will try to take the league trophy from you.

FIRST STEPS

The very first thing you do in this game, is selecting your own name, your home league, your home city, your team colour, secretary, and attacking style. After doing this, you are briefed on the fact you have to win your next three matches in a play-off, or your team will be sold and it'll be Game Over.
When you have won these matches, you ...
