Kuru Kuru Kuruin (Import) review
Brilliant blend of strategy and skillThe bad:
This game is the unsung star of the UK GBA launch. It hasn't performed especially well in our GBA sales chart, but could turn into a sleeper hit.
Whilst the gameplay itself is nothing like Tetris or Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-Move, this game shares the same blend of puzzle elements, skill and addictiveness as those titles. The main (adventure) mode is utterly compulsive and the multiplayer race mode (1 pak, 2-4 players) is simple but enjoyable.
Unfortunately some of the later stages can be VERY tough, even on the Easy difficulty level. Even nuns would swear whilst playing through them.
Nevertheless, I've forced loads of people to play this game and every single one of them has loved. The fact that several of them have vowed to buy a GBA and a copy of the game speaks for itself.
In short, Kurukuru Kururin is a classic action/puzzle game. It's an early contender for game of the year (on any system) and it comes highly recommended ~ except to those with high blood pressure.
