Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards review
King Dedede, I need help!
Fine sidescrolling action.
Graphics look good.
Soundtrack is catchy and good.
All the bosses are wayyy too easy.
2 1/2D might not be everyone's thing.
Some of Kirby's powers can be stupid.
May get boring.
The actual storyline takes about 10 hours, which is alright, but having the find crystal shards (which is actually the main objective of the game) can take an overly long time, and it will get undoutably boring.
Yeah, it was good how Kirby's Fire abilities looked good as well as the rock and other ones. Overall graphics looked impressive, although they kind of overdid the cel shading.
The soundtrack was somewhat catchy but some of the songs were just annoying. Sound effects on the other hand...Some were just bad, but some were heaps good too.
It's a 3D sidescrolling game where Kirby can absorb enemies powers and use them against other enemies. Boss battles can be quite easy once you know how, and even if you don't, they're not too hard. You die a few times though.
It's a decent sidescroller and a fine jump to 3D for Kirby. If you're getting tired of Yoshi's Story, go give this game a shot.
