1. Introduction
===============

Hello and welcome to my Katamari Forever walkthrough! My name is 
Shella and this is actually the first game guide I've ever written; I
hope you find it useful. 

This walkthrough will not only cover Cousin and Present locations,
but also the necessary time limits/sizes and other goals for each 
stage. The guide will be set out in stage order.

Katamari Forever is the sixth game in the Katamari Damacy series,
and the first to feature on the PS3. In this game you control the
Prince, who collects anything that happens to get stuck to his
Katamari. There are more Cousins than ever before, more stages and some 
new moves. 

So roll up anything that gets in your way! Make your Katamari big and 
turn them into stars and planets! Bring order back to the Cosmos!

2. Stage Descriptions
=====================
 
There is a total of 34 stages in Katamari Forever (including the 
RoboKing's Tutorial). 
 
Description: Basic in-game description of what you need to do in
the stage.

Goal: More in-depth description of what you need to do to complete
the request. This section will include the minimum size (if any) your 
Katamari needs to be in order to complete the request.

Cousin: There are a total of 58 Cousins in Katamari Forever, 
including the Prince. Cousins can be found in both the King's Cosmos 
and the RoboKing's Cosmos. There also may be more than one Cousin per
stage. Find each Cousin and roll them up to add them to your 
collection. Once you have rolled up a Cousin, you are then free to 
play as them. 

Present: Like Cousins, Presents can be found in both both the King's 
Cosmos and the RoboKing's Cosmos, and there may be more than one 
Present per stage. Presents allow you to dress up your character. Roll
up each Present to add to your accessories collection.

Modes: There are 4 modes which are availabe in the game- 
Katamari Forever, Katamari Drive, Eternal and Classic Katamari.
The number of different modes for each stage can vary; check each
stage to see which modes are available, and the time limit (if any) 
for each mode. 

Forever: Each stage in the game starts out in Katamari Forever mode. 
Here you can use a technique called the "Prince Hop"- flick up the
SixAxis controller or press R2 to make your Katamari jump. There are
also Hearts available in this mode- roll over them to attract nearby 
objects to your Katamari. Complete Katamari Forever mode to unlock 
the other modes.  

Drive: In this mode your Katamari rolls around much faster than
usual; as a result, you are given less time to complete the request.
You will still be able to use the Prince Hop and Hearts. Complete
Katamri Drive mode to unlock other modes. 

Eternal: There is no time limit in this mode! Just sit back, relax
and roll to your hearts desire. This mode is useful for when you
want to complete your collection. Complete Eternal mode to unlock
Classic Katamari mode.

Classic: This mode is exactly like rolling in the previous game, We
<3 Katamari. You will be unable to use the Prince Hop, and there will
be no Hearts in this mode.

Gingerbread House   [K-01]
==========================

Description: Roll up sweets to make a planet.

Goal: Roll up as many sweets as possible. Roll up the twins,
Hansel and Gretel, to finish the stage. There is no required size.

Cousin: Honey. Up on the hill near some food.

Present: Long Nose. There is a witch flying around the gingerbread
house. The present is on her broomstick.

Modes:
Forever (3 minutes)
Drive   (2 minutes)
Classic (3 minutes)

Clean Up   [K-02]
=================

Description: Clean up the room as fast as possible to make a planet

Goal: Roll up 100 objects (not including Cousins) in the shortest time
possible. There is no required size or time limit.

Cousin: L'amour. Running around somewhere on the floor.

Present: Antenna. On the windowsill near the beginning of the stage.

Cows and Bears   [K-03]
=======================

Description: Roll up a cow or a bear to make a planet

Goal: Roll into the biggest cow or bear you can find. As soon as you
touch a cow or a bear, the stage will finish. The bigger the cow/bear,
the higher the score. There is no required size.

Cousin: Daisy. She will count as a cow/bear, so rolling into her will
finish the stage. She's running around on the racetrack.

Present: Moustache. Found in the car wash. It will pop out randomly.

Modes:
Forever (10 minutes)
Drive   (6 minutes)
Classic (10 minutes)

Money   [K-04]
==============

Description: Roll up money to make Venus

Goal: Each object has a cash value; roll up as many valuable objects 
as possible within the time limit. There is no required size. 

Cousin: Odeon. At a table at the market area.

Present: Secret Wig. Behind some boxes in the market area.

Modes:
Forever (4 minutes)
Drive   (3 minutes)
Eternal 
Classic (4 minutes)

Fireflies   [K-05]
==================

Description: Roll up fireflies to make Sirius

Goal: Roll up fireflies to make a glowing Katamari, then roll up the 
studying boy to end the stage. A brighter Katamari will give you a
higher score. There is no required size.

Cousin: Dipp. At the top of the hill.

Present: Glasses. On top of the caravan.

Modes:
Forever (5 minutes)
Drive   (3 minutes)
Classic (5 minutes)

Sumo   [K-06]
=============

Description: Roll up food to make a planet

Goal: Roll up food to make the sumo nice and fat. Roll into the other 
sumo before the time runs out to end the stage. There is no required 
size, just make him big enough to knock out the other sumo.

Cousin: Nik. On the stage.

Present: Cool Belt. Thrown into the pool.

Modes:
Forever (5 minutes) 
Drive   (3 minutes)
Classic (5 minutes)

Shopping   [K-07]
=================

Description: Create a Space Station within the budget

Goal: Roll up as many items as you can for 300,000 Yen. Each item you
collect has a cash value, so your total budget will go down with each 
item. There is no required size or time limit.

Cousin: Harvest. In the fruit aisle of the market.

Present: Kite. On a shelf in the food court.

Modes:

School   [K-08]
===============

Description: Roll up students as fast as possible to make a satellite


Goal: Roll up all 93 students as fast as possible. There is no
required size or time limit.

Cousin: Huey. In one of the classrooms.

Present: Streamers. On top of the stack of desks in one of the
classrooms.

Camp   [K-09]
=============

Description: Start up the campfire to make a satellite

Goal: Keep the Katamari burning by continuously rolling up objects and 
avoiding water. Roll into the campfire before the time runs out to end
the stage. There is no required size.

Cousin: Kinoko. Dancing around a fire.

Present: Mushroom. Under the bridge.

Modes:
Forever (8 minutes)
Drive (5 minutes)
Classic (8 minutes)

Limited to 50   [K-10]
======================

Description: Make the Katamrai as large as possible with only 50 
objects to make a planet

Goal: Roll up 50 of the largest collectable objects you can find. 
There is no required size or time limit.

Cousin: Jungle. On a fish in the pond.

Present: Wings. On top of the bear's nose.

Modes:
Forever
Drive

Snowman   [K-11]
================

Description: Roll up snow to make Snowman Planet

Goal: Make a head for the snowman. There is no required size or time
limit. This stage is impossible to fail.

Cousin: Sherman. Lying down under an umbrella at the bottom of the 
hill.

Present: Ancestral Mask. Inside Santa's sleigh.

Modes:
Forever

Hot Stuff   [K-12]
==================

Description: Roll up hot things to make Mars

Goal: Heat up the Katamari to 10,000 degrees as fast as possible by 
rolling up hot things. Avoid contact with cold objects as they will
decrease the Katamari's temperature. There is no required size or
time limit.

Cousin: Lalala. Found outside on a small island.

Cousin: Miso. Found inside, under one of the windows.

Present: Peacock. On the table.

Present: Lollipop. On the ground outside.

Small Just-right   [K-13]
=========================

Description: Roll up a Katamari of the correct size to make a satellite

Goal: Roll up objects to make the Katamari exactly 20cm in diameter. 
If the Katamari is too big, you will fail the stage. There is no time
limit.

Cousin: Marcy. On the robot's shoulder.

Present: Scarf. In a dog bowl just outside

Medium Just-right   [K-14]
==========================

Description: Roll up a Katamari of the correct size to make a satellite

Goal: Roll up objects to make the Katamari exactly 2m in diameter. 
If the Katamari is too big, you will fail the stage. There is no time
limit. 

Cousin: Foomin. In the classroom opposite the toilets.

Present: Flower. On top of the locker in the first classroom.

Large Just Right   [K-15]
=========================

Description: Roll up a Katamari of the correct size to make Saturn

Goal: Roll up objects to make the Katamari exactly 50m in diameter. 
If the Katamari is too big, you will fail the stage. There is no time
limit.

Cousin: Princess. Running around in the city near where you begin the
stage.

Present: Mask. Underneath the bridge. There's an arrow pointing to it.

Wake Up The King!   [K-16]
==========================

Description: Roll up powerful things and the King to make a Supergiant

Goal: Make your Katamari at least 10,000km and then roll up the King 
before the time runs out to end the stage.

Cousin: Ace. Up somewhere in the Cosmos.

Cousin: Havana. In the amusement park area. 

Cousin: Macho. In the football stadium.

Cousin: Lucha. On a ledge at the waterfall.

Cousin: Kenta. Walking on the bridge past the 3m marker.

Cousin: Mag. On America after you get past 3km.

Present: Goggles. On top of a pink bird. Catch it before it flies away.

Present: Candy. On a mountain near the airport.

Present: Lights. On top of the jumboman.

Present: Royal Mask. Inside the split mountain.

Present: Pochette. Floating in space.

Modes:

The King's Dream   [K-17]
=========================

Description: Roll up the King's dreams to make a planet

Goal: Roll up 300 or more of the King's dream bubbles within the time 
limit. The Prince Hop and quickturns are useful here.  

Cousin: June. Inside a dream bubble.

Cousin: Slip. Inside a dream bubble.

Present: Formal Outfit. inside a dream bubble.

Present: Headphones. inside a dream bubble.

Make a Star 1 - Playtime   [R-01]
=================================

Description: Roll up playthings to make a satellite

Goal: Roll up objects to make the Katamari at least 20cm within the 
time limit.

Cousin: Dangle. On a ruler near the table.
 
Present: Camera. In the middle of the candy shop. Equip the camera to
take in-game photos.

Modes:
Forever (3 minutes)
Drive   (2 minutes)
Eternal
Classic (3 minutes)

Make a Star 2 - Calories   [R-02]
=================================

Description: Roll up food to make a Cetus

Goal: Each food object has a calorie value. Roll up as many calories 
as possible within the time limit. There is no required size.

Cousin: Ichigo. Inside a Venus Flytrap.

Cousin: Hans. In the area that leads outside, near some buckets.

Present: Gum. Near the large wedding cake.

Modes:
Forever (4 minutes)
Drive   (2 minutes)

Classic (4 minutes)

Make a Star 3 - Rich   [R-03]
=============================

Description: Roll up expensive things to make a planet

Goal: Roll up objects to make the Katamari at least 60 cm within the
time limit.

Cousin: Paula. Outside, near the pond.

Cousin: Kuro. Flying around a flower pot on the desk.

Present: Crown. Near the group of wine bottles.

Present: Cloak. In the flowerbed.

Modes:
Forever (5 minutes)
Drive   (3 minutes)
Eternal
Classic (5 minutes)

Make a Star 4 - Constellations   [R-04]
=======================================

Description: Roll up constellation-related things to make the Milky 
Way

Goal: Roll up as many constellations as possible within the time limit.
There is a total of 88 constellations for all modes.

Cousin: Miki. Standing on a surfboard near the harbour.

Cousin: Pokkle. Standing on a cuckoo clock near the pool.

Present: Drum. Next to the fire.

Modes:
Forever (5 minutes)
Drive   (3 minutes)

Make a Star 5 - Underwater   [R-05]
===================================

Description: Roll up objects underwater to make Mercury

Goal: Roll up objects to make the Katamari at least 80cm within the 
time limit.

Cousin: Shy. Sitting on a raft on the surface.

Present: Bikini. On the back of a duck.

Modes:
Forever (5 minutes)
Drive   (3 minutes)

Make a Star 6 - Animals   [R-06]

Description: Roll up animals to make a planet

Goal:  Roll up as many animals as possible within the time limit. 
There is a total of 300 animals for all modes.
 
Cousin: Beyond. Near the building on the hill.

Present: Giraffe. On the head of a sea animal. Disappears underwater.

Modes:
Forever (7 minutes)

Make a Star 7 - As Large As Possible   [R-07]

Description: Make the Katamari as large as possible to make a star

Goal: Roll up objects to make the Katamari at least 1m within the

Cousin: Johnson. On the roof of the house.

Present: Harmonica. In the sink in the bathroom.

Present: Train. On the kitchen table.

Modes:
Forever (5 minutes)

Cousin: Twinkle. On top of the Christmas tree.

Present: Sword. On top of the microwave.

Present: Samurai Hair. In the schoolyard.

Cousin: Odeko. On a flower with red petals.

Cousin: Signolo. On the street near the Christmas tree.

Cousin: Nai-Nai. Sitting on a boat in the air. 

Present: School Bag. on top of a building near the piggybackers.

Present: Trumpet. Inside Santas's sleigh.

Present: Hat. Behind the building next to the amusement park.

Present: Ghost. On a volcano.

Cousin: Nickel. At the TV store.

Cousin: Nutsuo. Riding the Loch Ness monster.
 
Cousin: Ryu. At the top of the wrestling rings.

Cousin: Norn. At the oasis beyond the 60m marker.

Present: Thunder Drums. On the roof of the school, after 3m 

Present: Mt. Fuji. In the mouth of the volcano.

Modes:
Forever (15 minutes)
Drive   (9 minutes)

Make The Moon   [R-12]
======================

Description: Make the Katamari as large as possible to create the Moon

Goal: Roll up objects to make the Katamari at least 300m within the
time limit.

Cousin: Ban-Ban. In the schoolyard.

Cousin: Kyun. under a tree near the lake.

Present: Newsreel. On top of the smokestack past the 3m barrier.

Present: Bunny Ears. On a Jumboman.

Modes:
Forever (16 minutes)
Drive   (10 minutes)
Eternal
Classic (17 minutes)

Katamari Sprinkler   [R-13]
===========================

Description: Use the Katamari Sprinker to return life to the desert

Goal: Your Katamari is full of water. Use it to water the desert and 
make it green again. Water at least 800m of the desert. When your
Katamari gets empty, fill it up at an oasis.

Cousin: Kunihiro. On top of a statue near the tree. must be large.

Cousin: Pu. on a sand sculpture up the ledge.

Present: Ring Toss. Carried by an animal on the ground.

Present: Pinwheel. It will drop into your Katamari after you activate
the oasis.

Modes:
Forever (5 minutes)
Drive   (3 minutes)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Make a Star - Race   [R-14]
===========================

Description: Make the Katamari as large as possible to make a planet

Goal: Roll up objects to make the Katamari at least 5m within the
time limit.

Cousin: Fujio. Near the house in the centre.

Cousin: Drive. Rcing on the track.

Present: Horsey. On a tanker in the water.

Modes:
Forever (6 minutes)
Drive   (4 minutes)
Eternal
Classic (6 minutes)

Make a Star - Danger   [R-15]
=============================

Description: Roll up dangerous objects to make Scorpius

Goal: Roll up objects to make the Katamari at least 3000km within the
time limit.

Cousin: Opeo. Near the octopus in the water near ice.

Cousin: Drooby. Sitting in the middle of a ring of clouds.

Present: Survival Bag. Hanging from a star.

Modes:
Forever (6 minutes)
Drive   (4 minutes)
Eternal
Classic (7 minutes)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Farewell!   [R-16]
==================

Description: Roll up Roboking's reactor core to make a planet

Goal: Roll up peices of the RoboKing and his Hearts, and finally his 
Reactor Core. Each Heart you roll up will increase the time limit by 
1 minute.

Cousin: Colombo. Sitting on top of the vaccuum cleaner.

Cousin: Mu. Collecting this cousin is different because he doesn't 
appear in any location at the start of the level. There are certain 
items that need to be rolled up before Mu will appear, and all are 
found on the ground around the RoboKing. The items (in order) are-
1. haniwa   (statue)
2. fluff    (flower)
3. geta     (wooden sandal)
4. recorder (instrument) 
5. emblem   (shield)
Mu will then appear on the floor. 

Present: Bro. On the turtle's back.

Present: Cold Mask. On a sand castle.

Present: Bandage. In RoboKing's crown.

Modes:
Forever (1 minute at the start of the level + 1 minute for each Heart)
Drive   (1 minute at the start of the level + 1 minute for each Heart)

============

There are 4 unlockable minigames in Katamari Forever:

- Katamari Forever minigame. Finish all stages in Forever mode.
- Beautiful Katamari minigame (normal). Finish all stages in Drive mode.
- Beautiful Katamari minigame (hard). Finish all stages in Drive mode.
- We Love Katamari minigame. Finish every stage in every mode.
