Everything good about Jak II and more
The Haven map doesn't have all the areas that Jak II had like the underground or the fortress.
The maps can be a little too expansive when you travel from mission to mission with no quick way in between, especially in Haven.
We start off with the new villain Count Veger banishing Jak to the Wasteland, where Jak has a flashback of Haven's Palace being attacked. Once you start the game, you quickly meet Damas and Kleiver, the people that run Spargus. Plotline, yada yada. The missions aren't easy, but you never take 3 hours to do one either. Not all the missions tie directly to the plot, like finding artifacts, or corralling wild leapers in Dead Town.
What I really like about Jak 3 is every button does something. L2=Light/Dark Jak. R2=Jetboard. L1=Crouch/Roll. R1=Fire. The thing about it is, not only is it easily a...
Jak is banished to the wasteland for life due to his "crimes" against the city and the citizens' fear of his dark powers. Now he must live his life on the outside as an outcast and an outlaw as he struggles to survive.
There are several characters. One's you will love. One's you will despise. Take Jak for example. Being the main character, you're supposed to like him because he's a badass, a nice guy and just downright cool. Then there's Count Veger, one of the antagonists of the game. He's an evil, cold blooded jerk who you're supposed to hate. Anyway, several characters make an appearance as well as others. The characters feel almost alive when you meet them in cutscenes with the help of the great voice cast that brought them to life.
Jak 3 brings a lot more Gameplay than Jak II. Fans complained about there not being much to do in the secodn one. Jak 3 brings several side missions, mini games, a wide array of desert vehicles eight new weapons, a Jet Board attack ability, 600 Precursor Orbs to collect, three enormous areas to roam featuring Haven City, Spargus City and the Spargus Wasteland.
Like it or not, there are more plot twists in this game. They make perfect sense and are gasp-worthy to blow you away.
There are only a few bad points to this game. The first one is that it wasn't as long as Jak II making it a tad too short. Even as it is a fun filled adventure that is sure to last you at least four months unless you played it non stop.
The second is the amount of weapons you have. It's not really that bad, but 12 weapons...Did we really need eight new weapons? Eight weapons total is great and all, but I bet you won't use most of them.
The lack of bosses. There are four bosses in this game. These bosses are pretty tough, as well.
The last one is the difficulty level. I could've asked the game to be a bit harder.
I love the Jak and Daxter series. If there was mroe than five games, it might be my favorite. This game is really worth the cash. Some say Jak II is better, but it's a lie. As great as Jak II is, it had things that Jak 3 has and everything else Jak II had. It adds almost every genre into the game. Racing, action, platformer, adventure, flight simulator...I recommend this game to anyone and everyone.
Extraordinary Voice acting
Long and Challenging
Shorter than Jak IISummary:
Simply put, Jak 3 is one of the best games I have ever played. Its amazing world of characters and events would make you kill for this game. Impossible to put down every step of the way.
The story starts off with Jak being banished to the wasteland by Count Veger, the one who obviously has more power than the newly crowned Governor, Ashelin. Daxter and Pecker join him as he searches for survival in the vast Spargus desert. As they wander, Jak faints and begins to hallucinate of flashbacks and mysterious scenes of war and invasion.
There are a lot of new additions to this third instal...
- Better story
- More weapons again
- Gives it a better overall feel to the game
- Graphics are good
- Daxter is more involved
- Some missions are too easy
- Some missions are too damn hard
- Boring at times
I really liked the first one, but the second one sucked. With that said, I think this series has jumped back up because Jak 3 is much more of an improvement than the last one. The storyline is better, it no longer seems like its entirely based on weapons or anything like that, and.. you can actually use Daxter more in this installment, so its no longer feeling like just a Jak solo game.
Although it seems like the perfect game so far, it isnt. Some of the missions can really get on your nerves because it just gets frustrating at select times. On the other hand, some missions can really bore t...
This game cant get any better.Jak 2 screwed up the series in my opinion and Jak 3 just blew it away.
The gameplay and everything, I mean everything is smooth, im not trying to make this a dum reviwew but really, everything is great. The bad:
The problem is, theres nothing wrong though, its a little too hard.Summary:
I recommend you getting this game, its better than Racthet and Clank in my opinion and beats every other series as of 2004.
This game lasts about for me 1 month and even after that there are many secrets to be unleashed.
The best thing is, all of the secrets are unleashed, precursers, everything.
Buy this game, I know you wont regret it
I love the characters attitude and just roaming around with dune buggies and hover cars and the jet board is awesome. The bad:
Some missions are useless and some are extremely difficult at times and there should have been new weapons besides the modsSummary:
Im not giving this a 5 cuz some of the missions seem to not actually tie in with the story....at all. I still loved this game and thought it was a cool and very original storyline. I loved the secret of Ratchet and Clank gun courses (sorry for the spoiler). If you really REALLY want a game that has much more weapons, try Ratchet and Clank.
I'd give it a 4.4 out of 5. Great game just (in my opinion) I like Ratchet and Clank much much much much much much much much MUCH better. (using the much's as filler...sorry).
