Hyrule Warriors is a hack and slash action adventure spin-off of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series. Produced in collaboration with Koei Tecmo's Omega Force and Team Ninja studios, Hyrule Warriors is designed to play like the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors franchises.
Players choose one of several characters drawn from the history of Zelda titles including Link and Princess Zelda, and enter battlefields to defeat swarms of enemies using signature weapons and attacks unique to each character. Battlefields are similarly based on landmarks seen in Zelda titles like Hyrule Castle.
Hyrule Warriors features an original, non-canonical story involving the Triforce that introduces new characters like the mysterious sorceresses Cia and Lana. Each character has their own campaign which players can experience in both single- and multiplayer. New characters are unlocked through gameplay or downloadable content. Post-release DLC can be purchased either individually or as part of a USD Season Pass bundle, which also includes the Dark Link Costume for Link.
 Hyrule Warriors Legends
The game would later see release on the 3DS in March 2016 under the title "Hyrule Warriors Legends." Legends features all the content from the original Wii U game, plus new additions including new playable characters like Tetra from Wind Waker and the all-new Linkette, inspired by an interpretation of series protagonist Link as a female!
This game is also known as Zelda Musou in Japan.
