1.                                Introduction

===============================================================================


Lemmings is an entertaining puzzle game by Psygnosis. The aim in each level is
to guide a number of lemmings from the entrance to the exit. Each level has a
variety of traps and tall drops that could kill the lemmings, so it is up to
the player to give different skills to the lemmings to prevent this. What
starts out as a very simple game soon gets incredibly complicated, and despite
the large number of levels the game never seems boring or unvaried. The two
Holiday Lemmings games were made due to the popularity of the original games.
The 1994 edition features 32 new levels, plus 32 levels from the 1993 edition.

FROST 1
-------

Bash through the five pillars at the top of the slopes.


FROST 2
-------

Change every lemming into a floater.


FROST 3
-------

Have the first lemming bash through the pillar and build a bridge on the other
side. Put a blocker at the left side of the platform. Have the next lemming
bash through the rock wall. Build a bridge through the gap in the metal blocks
to walk to the exit. Explode the blocker.


FROST 4
-------

Have the first lemming that walks left build a bridge over the gap, and the
first lemming that walks right bash through the pillar.


FROST 5
-------

Have the first lemming out of the left exit mine down to the right. Bash
through the thin spikes on the right to make a tunnel to the exit. Have the
right entrance lemmings mine down to the right.


FROST 6
-------

Change the second lemming into a blocker. Have the first lemming build over the
four gaps. Explode the blocker.


FROST 7
-------

Build from the bottom of the slope to the bottom section of the first 9. Bash
right and build a bridge to the next 9. Bash right again and build a bridge
over to the exit platform.


FROST 8
-------

Have the first lemming mine down to the right. Change the release rate to 99 to
make sure that all lemmings make it to the exit in time.


FROST 9
-------

Change the first lemming into a builder. The second lemming should drop down
the gap before the bridge is finished. Change the third lemming into a miner on
top of the snow platform. Have the first lemming build a bridge over the gap to
the exit platform.


FROST 10
--------

Change the first lemming out of each entrance into a miner. Have the left
entrance lemming mine down to the right after he lands and then change him into
a basher to make a tunnel under the metal block. Near the end of the tunnel,
have the other lemmings mine down to enter the tunnel. Have the first lemming
build a bridge to the exit.


FROST 11
--------

Change the second lemming into a blocker. Have the first lemming build a bridge
over the gap and bash through the snow to the exit on the other side. Explode
the blocker.


FROST 12
--------

Change the release rate to 99. Build a bridge up to the section of snow in the
middle of the left metal blocks. Bash through the snow. The lemmings walk up to
the top of the slope on the other side and change direction. Start to dig down
at the left side of the tunnel that was bashed earlier. Bash right to the path
leading to the exit.


FROST 13
--------

Have the right entrance lemming build a bridge from the right side of the
entrance up to the snow wall on the left. Have the left entrance lemmings bash
through the snow wall.


FROST 14
--------

Have the first lemming build a bridge up to the top section of the 9. Bash
through both parts of the first 9 and build a bridge over to the next 9. Bash
through the left section of the 9 to reach the exit.


FROST 15
--------

Have the first lemming out of the middle and right entrance bash through the
snow. Change the right entrance lemming into an exploder to make a gap, leaving
the middle entrance lemming to walk right. When the other lemmings fall into
the gap, have them bash right. Have the middle entrance lemming mine through
the ice, bash through the pillar and build a bridge over the gap to the exit.


FROST 16
--------

Change the first lemming into a climber and a floater. Have him build a bridge
into the first slope before the exit so that he faces left and then build a
bridge up to the left. Have him build a bridge into the slope on the left so
that he walks back to the exit. Have the other lemmings build a bridge out of
the gap in the metal blocks.

HAIL 1
------

Change the first lemming into a climber and a floater. When he drops off the
first snow platform at the top of the metal blocks, have him build a bridge
into the next snow platform so that he faces left. After he drops off the left
side of the blocks, have him bash through the snow toward the other lemmings.


HAIL 2
------

Explode one lemmings after he falls into the gap. Put a blocker at the left
side of the gap and then explode him. Repeat this method with the other
blockers to reach the exit.


HAIL 3
------

Change the first lemming into a climber. Have him build bridges and make
tunnels from one letter to the next until he reaches the exit. Have the other
lemmings build a bridge out of the M.


HAIL 4
------

Change the second lemming into a blocker. Have the first lemming mine down
through the ice and rock. Build a bridge up from the right side of the rock to
the exit platform. Explode the blocker.


HAIL 5
------

Change the first thirty-one lemmings into floaters. After the first lemming
turns left after walking into the snowman, have him build a long bridge up to
the entrance hatch so that the other lemmings can land on it. Put a blocker at
the top of the bridge. Have a lemming that walks right build a bridge over the
top of the snowman.


HAIL 6
------

Change the release rate to 99. Wait until all of the lemmings drop onto the ice
platform and then explode them all to complete the level.


HAIL 7
------

Have the first lemming build a bridge over ice spikes. Have the other lemmings
build bridges on the platform below the entrance hatch, which will give the
first lemming time to build across the spikes. Change one lemming into a
climber as he walks right and have him build a bridge across the gap in the
metal blocks. Have him build a long bridge up to the exit. Have the other
lemmings build a bridge up to the metal block.


HAIL 8
------

Change the second lemming into a digger. Change the first lemming into a miner
near the top of the slope. Have the second lemming build a bridge in the gap to
stop digging. Change the first lemming into a basher near the bottom of the
mountain. When he gets near the right side of the mountain, have the other
lemmings bash right from the gap. Have the first lemming build a bridge to the
exit platform.


HAIL 9
------

Change the second lemming into a digger. Change the first lemming into a
builder near the right side of the path. Have the second lemming build a bridge
in the gap to stop digging. Have the first lemming build the bridge up to the
top of the metal blocks and bash through the snow to the exit. Have the other
lemmings build out of the gap.


HAIL 10
-------

Have the left entrance lemming and the right entrance lemming build bridges
over the gaps. Have the right lemmings bash left from the top of the bridge to
make a tunnel to the middle lemmings. Have the middle lemmings mine down to the
left, and then bash left to join up with the bridge made by the left lemmings.
Have the right entrance lemmings bash through the snow to reach the exit.


HAIL 11
-------

Have the bottom lemming build a bridge left from the highest point of the path
to the top-left corner of the platform. Have the top lemming mine down to the
sloped path on the left. After he walks right, have him mine down to the top of
the bridge that was built by the bottom lemming. Change one lemming that walks
left into a climber. Have him dig down the left side of the pillar and then
build a bridge left to the exit. Change another lemming into a climber and have
him dig down the right side of the pillar and build a bridge at the bottom.


HAIL 12
-------

Build bridges over the small gaps in the top path.


HAIL 13
-------

Change the first lemming into a builder. Have him climb over the first pillar,
dig twice down the second pillar to remove both sides and bash through the
third pillar. Have him build a bridge over the gap to reach the exit. Have the
other lemmings bash through the first pillar.


HAIL 14
-------

Change the second lemming out of both entrances into a blocker and have the
first lemming build bridges over the gaps to the exit.


HAIL 15
-------

Change the first lemming into a climber, and have him dig down as soon as he
reaches the top of the wall. Have the other lemmings build bridges all in the
same place so that they prevent lemmings from walking left. Have the digger
change into a basher when he is on the same level as the other lemmings to
reach the exit.


HAIL 16
-------

Change every lemming into a floater except for the first lemming. When the
first lemming falls off the edge of the path, wait as long as possible before
changing him into a floater. Keep changing the second and third lemmings into
bashers so that the first lemming is given space. Have the first lemming build
a bridge over the gap to the exit.
