Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life brings Natsume's faming life simulator to the Nintendo GameCube. Players become a budding farmer tasked with reviving and maintaining a farm in a new locale, Forget-Me-Not Valley. Players must learn to manage their daily activities which include growing and harvesting a variety of crops on fields, as well as raising and caring for animals which provide farm produce like eggs and milk.
Like in previous titles, the player also has the opportunity to pursue marriage with one of three eligible bachelorettes, eventually starting a family and raising a child. Unique to A Wonderful Life is how both players and NPCs actually age as the in-game years progress; even the player's child ages. The game only ends when the main character finally passes away, leaving behind his legacy.
The game supports connectivity with Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town on GBA, allowing players to trade information via GameLink cable.
This game is also known as Bokujou Monogatari: Wonderful Life in Japan.
