Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban User Reviews
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the third installment in the series of games. As is to be expected, the game revolves around the book. Having said this, however, the game is actually an interesting combination of both the movie and the book which can be seen as an enjoyable factor for many Harry Potter fans.
I quite enjoyed the controls for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban game. The Gamecube controls are already quite comfortable and the game's easy access controls just further this. A second point of an enjoyable nature is the customisation ...
Play as Harry, Hermione and Ron. Fly Buckbeack around the castle. Realistic voices and Cut-Sceanes. Charecters actually look older, unlike the other HP games. Tons of magical creatures including Dementors. Hogwarts interior and exterior are huge and a little confusing, like the book. Tons of secret rooms and passages, which can be found with the Marauders Map. Stunning graphics. Duels. Mini Games and a ton more I can't think of.The bad:
No Quiddich. Some of the graphics, like Snape and Dumbeldore's hair, look pretty bad. The classes are pretty random. Some of the stuff in the game never even close to happpend in the book or movie. Fred and George don't sell usefull stuff, unlike the 2nd game. The Time-Turner is mainly a cut-scene. Aufuly Glitchy. The story is short too. More but I can't think of it.Summary:
This is a very good game. The graphics are great and the Cut-Scenes are realistic and cinimatic. Hogwarts inside and outside are huge, which makes you feel you are really there. The game is true to its word too, when Neville complains about Sir Cadogan changing the password every day, if you notice, he does. The classes are also very random. When Lupin says, "Go in here and find the Glacius Spellbook." It would be more realistic if Lupin would teach you about the Glacius charm, then ask you to find it, a bit like the second game where Lockhart tells you about Expelliarmus. The classe...
The graphics are amazing and awesome!EA made a very high jump from the Chamber of Secrets to the Prisoner of Azkaban! The gameplay, the sound, the price($40) isnt that so cool or what! The bad:
Nothing at all, except the fact that there is no Quiditch,it would have been a 5.9 instead of a 5.5!
EA games best creation is here,well.......so far! The next Harry Potter film and game are going to be the best, i have read the fourth and fith book so this game is the beginning of a new revolution of video games! So buy this game, stick to the Harry Potter game and film AAAAAAnd book series because there are two books to come in and wipe you off your feet! This game is also fourty dollars so its cheap to get the best game out yet! You should buy this for any system you have, you must buy this video game! Sorry if I sounded like a control freak!
-Control Harry, Ron and Hermione.
-Better graphics, compared to the other two games.
-Use totally new spells to solve Hogwart's puzzles. Some spells are Flipendo, Glacius, Carpe Retractum and Expecto Patronum.
-Fight the Dementors using the Patronus spell to protect yourself.
-Ride on Buckbeack
-Play cool and additional mini-games.
-Upgrading your spells.
-This game is too easy. You can finish it in only 1-2 days, though it's still fun.
-Once again, the game isn't as good as the book.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a totally revolutionary game on it's own. You will like the new graphics, and it's cool to switch between Harry, Ron and Hermione, as each one learns different spells and has different abilities (i.e. Harry can jump, Ron can look for items in bookshelves, Hermione learns more spells than Harry and Ron). The game is cool and fun, though it isn't challengin enough if you are a video games veteran. You will complete the game in maximal two days. If you are a Harry Potter fan, you should definetly buy this game, though you should now that you don't ha...
I originally was not planning on purchasing this game. But after seeing so many of those cool commercials and stuff, I could not resist. Once I got to the game, I was disappointed.
The graphics were pretty good for the game, but were misleading from the commercial. The dementors did not look that good in my opinon and did not have the bone hand you could see or anything like that.
Harry, Ron, and Hermonie were made well for the game, as was most of the characters. Some like Snape still had the look as if they were still just graphics, though. When I play a game, I don't want ...
Graphics, sound, voice acting is excellent, everything is more realistic this time around, better physics, scary in parts.... GREAT!!The bad:
ALOT of puzzles not really a bad thing unless you hate puzzles!Summary:
Overall this game was great, on a scale of 1 to 10 i'd have to give it a 9.6 simply because its so great!
It has improved miles on the second harry potter game and the first one doesnt even come close... This game brings the magic of hogwarts alive in style! I have to say this is one of the best games i have played all year and i reccomend it to anyone who lves harry potter and even anyone who doesnt its just that great!
If you dont want to spent all that money on this game try going on ebay and having a look around, you can get some great deals!
