Brilliant Game! Really Worth it!

The good:

Lots of Missions (Assassinations, Races, Rampages)
Lots more Weapons!
Realistic Animations.
Awesome Graphics!
Same Gameplay
Different Vehicles, Motorcycles, Helicopters, Boats.
Hidden Stunts!
You can actually use the internet on this GTA.
Lots of SafeHouses.
You can Fall Free-Style!
Clothing Options.

The bad:

Property can't be bought.
Some Annoying Glitches.

Summary:

First thing to say on this Review is that GTA IV is an Epic Game with lots of things to do on it, and impossible to get bored while playing it! The gameplay has always been the same for GTA, it has never changed, and it never will, and I don't have any unnecessary comments on it. You get missions that task you with a variety of objectives that you can complete to move the story on or just go off on your own to do whatever. Your actions may grab the attention of the police if you break the law, but that's really why people play GTA, right?

Pretty much like Vice City, you have the same vehicle...

Grand The Awesomeness

The good:

+ Tight and Interesting Story
+ New York feeling
+ Great Characters
+ Awesome Graphics level

The bad:

- Repeatative missions pattern
- Medium replay value

Summary:

GTA IV is a successful video game in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, it is considered the best and sets to be the most realistic action game ever made. It has the most amazing engine and cityscape design, with unique characters and peds roaming around the fictional city of Liberty City. GTA IV talks about the journey of Niko Bellic, an eastern European immigrant, to Liberty city seeking the American Dream with the help of his cousin, Roman Bellic and his desire to seek revenge. Soon Niko figure out it was all lies, the claims his cousin told him about his wealth, and start to get in dirty j...

Very deserving of its praise, little of its hate

Summary:

Grand Theft Auto IV was almost four years in the making, a sequel to one of the most both critically and commercially successful series of all time. The huge franchise had forever remained a tongue-in-cheek crime simulator, characterised by its previously unique and expansive open-ended sandbox design. Every tale so far offered the hardships of one man’s struggle and rise through the criminal system, each time starting at the bottom of the chain – a simple carrier perhaps – and finally boasting a position as one of the most feared and respected members of the business. Despite its stone-set...

Quite a fun game.

The good:

Free-roam
The new wanted system
Plenty of side-missions to do and trophies to get to keep the replay value up.
A decent-sized map
A revamped Liberty City

The bad:

A little too realistic at times
The new wanted system. This can become a problem when you only have 1 star.
Liberty City again? I would liked this game to take place in a different city. At least it's revamped though.

Summary:

The Grand Theft Auto series sure has been through quite a lot over the last 10+ years. The series started with Grand Theft Auto for PC, which was a top-down view game. Then Grand Theft Auto III came out, which was the first one to be in 3D. Now here's Grand Theft Auto IV, which tweaks things from the Grand Theft Auto III era. The game takes place in Liberty City once again, but it's been revamped this time. You play as Niko Bellic, a 30 year old former soldier who moved to Liberty City.

Some new changes made in this game includes the new cop system, which you must get out of the red area whe...

The Peak of Modern Gaming

The good:

Brilliant, vibrant graphics
Clever humour
Great, convincing voice acting
Intruiging storyline with the most detailed character backgrounds in a GTA ever
Targeting system
Diversity in the looks of NPC's
Rockstar's attention to detail
Cover system which outclasses most
Physics engine is brilliant
Near flawless multiplayer
GTA IV is an expandable title, with Microsoft lining up at least two new DLC's

The bad:

Framerate occasionally slows
Parts of Liberty City a little too dark
Some parts of the storyline are extremely challenging for some
Slighly more expensive than an average game (in Australia)

Summary:

To start things off, Grand Theft Auto IV is completely amazing. GTA IV excels in nearly every way, from the new cover system to the subtle humour which has you chuckling at Rockstar's jokes throughout the game. Apart from a few minor glitches, there is nothing that really brings GTA IV down, so this game is a must for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC owners. During GTA IV, you take control of Niko Bellic, an interesting eastern European man, around 30 years old, with a dark past and an eagerness to forget it.

GTA IV is essentially a driving game, and the automotive controls and physics have been complet...

A Fantastic Game

Summary:

So this game was probably one of the most hyped in recent years, and on playing the game I could immediately see why. Rockstar obviously did their research on this one - this is a truly accurate depiction of a real city and even on first glance it looks fantastic. I would have to say that this is possibly the best game I have played on the PlayStation 3.

When I first put this game into my console and loaded, I was eagerly awaiting the game, as I had been discussing it in the forum since pretty much day one and when I got my hands on it, it really didn't disappoint. The graphics are truly stu...
