Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories User Reviews

Best PSP game. Ever.

Vice City Stories completely revolutionised GTA on the PSP. Ok, so it was one of only two GTA games on the PSP, but it still was one hell of a game to get on a tiny UMD. We returned to Vice City in 1984, two years before Mr Vercetti set to the streets, and we took on the role of Corporal Vic Vance, who joined the army as an honest man trying to help a problematic family, and one fault later he is doing whatever he can to survive.

The features of this game included the ability to swim, the ability to fly helicopters, checkpoints in R3 missions, empire mode and everything else you'd expect to ...

It's cheap, But it's still GTA.

The good:

  • New vehicles such as Jetski
  • Long story mode guarantees days of fun
  • Side missions such as Taxi driver, rampage, Paramedic and Firefighter return
  • More outfits to unlock
  • More unique jumps
  • New grapple feature, plus "neck breaker" grapple
  • Enhance stamina system when swimming
  • Jaw dropping graphics
  • More vehicles than ever before

    The bad:

  • Doggy AI, almost robotic like
  • Poor character models
  • Missions sometimes a little too easy
  • Limited radio stations, less than ever before
  • Long loading times are back when you cross from city to city
  • Poor camera angle when flying a plane or helicopter

It's 1984. Opportunity abounds in a city emerging from the swamps, it's growth fueled by the violent power struggle in a lucrative drugs trade. Construction is everywhere as a shining metropolis rises from foundations of crime and betrayal. As a soldier, Vic Vance has always protected his dysfunctional family, his country, himself. One bad decision later and that job is about to get much harder. Kicked out onto the streets of a city torn between glamor and gluttony, Vic is faced with a stark choice - build an empire or be crushed. You thought it was over. But your back in Vice City, o...

    The bad:

I bought this game about 3 weeks ago and I'm sure glad I did. Before this game, Vice City was my favorite GTA. And now, Vice City Stories is my new favorite GTA.

Gameplay: This improves the fighting system. You can now grab people and punch them. You can tackle them and punch them while they are down. You can even sneak up from behind and snap their necks! Here's something even more surprising: At the very start of the game, you're a Military soldier and you can even kill other Military soldiers without them fighting back! The others just run away like babies! How cool is that? They actuall...

    They do it again.

Yet again RockStar impresses many and pull another gem from their bag of gems with this PSP game.

You play Victor Vance. A soldier who gets kicked out of the army and put on the streets. In an attempt to make money to pay for his sick brothers hospital bills he starts getting involved with the wrong crowd and doing things he would otherwise never even think about doing.

    GRAPHICS [3.9]
The first thing anyone notices about a game are the graphics. If you've ever played a GTA game you'd know what to expect. Due the sheer size of the game and the small size of the UMD the graphics suffer somewhat....
