I didn't say anything about punching. And clearly he did Ki related attacks as the posted manga scans show.
Whats your response to that?

It's either going to be plot device, retcon, or AT is human, and he makes mistakes. That will be fallowed with an interpretation of how things should be, and COH is going to agree with everything...

That's the way I figure it, too. He's trailing behind the Saiyans' SSj1 power, most likely not too far behind the weakened Gohan. Piccolo is then somewhat weaker than Kaioshin, which seems fitting with his falling-behind placement during the Cell arc without it being exaggerated to the problematic point where he's even behind their base forms.
Kaioshin simply isn't thinking clearly during the sequence in Bobbidi's ship
(which, honestly, is the odd one out when it comes to this particular quandary), and is overly cautious of guys like Pui-Pui who turn out to be pretty weak in the end. Though since he's already seen that Bobbidi has someone like Dabra on his side, you can't entirely blame him.
Later on when Majin Boo is revived and things get desperate, Kaioshin actually grows a pair and shows what he can do, as useless as that might end up being.

Kaioshin did nothing more impressive than Gohan and Dabura did to Buu, I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
Those weren't good feats to go by.
Face it.
Yakkon > Base Saiyajins > Pui Pui > Kaioshin > The Nameless Namek > Babidi > Freezer
Babidi > Freezer... HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Gohan > Dabura > Kaioshin. Gohan could have used ssj2 (if enraged) to beat Dabura which was more or less an equal fight. Kaioshin was scared of Dabura.
