Subject: Forum Rules + Thread Index
Welcome to Books & LiteraturePlease read the forum rules with care before posting
*New seekers: read the Sitewide Rules.
Haven't done so yet? Introduce yourself [ here ]. We all want to know who is visiting our forum, and we are always happy to have new visitors. If you see some new people have come to our little hobbit-hole, stop by the thread and welcome them. It may just make them come back.
This is already part of the site rules, but please be respectful of one another and keep any scathing personal insults to yourself. The censor system in place catches most curse words (don't bother trying to bypass it). Racist, sexist, or homophobic language will not be tolerated.
Creating new threads for any topic is encouraged. Be sure to give the search function at the top of the thread list a check to make certain there's not a pre-existing topic. A good first post should at least offer a summary background, optional links to information resources and of course your own thoughts to open up discussion. Book Title (Book Author) is the preferred title format for single titles. Author and series discussion threads are fair game.
If it's a comic, it goes in the Comics forum. If it's manga specifically, head over to Anime.
The fine line between spam and an informative post is good descriptive writing. A sentence or two and a link off the site is always spam, and will be reported and deleted. Additionally, links to unauthorized downloads are against Neoseeker policy and any such postings will result in immediate deletion and a first offense ban of at least 24 hours.
I have no problem with double posting; sometimes a thread needs a kick back in the spotlight, especially if it's been months or years. If you're the only one posting and it passes more than two consecutive posts, they can easily be merged together. Grammar and Spelling:
Most of us are here because we like to read. This won't be strictly enforced, but do your part and make sure your posts are easy on the eyes, syntax-wise.
