Thats what i was thinking too edward, that game related discussion may be more of a prority now, and interesting to see how posts in the gd measure up against posts in the other thread.

What moved you to make that decision?
I'll be monitoring the forum activity in the next weeks. I don't have something particular in mind and even if I did, I wouldn't say it in public as it would influence the members' posting pattern.
All you need to know for the time being is that it's a trial.

Or maybe he's just noticed that most GDs are actually un-stickied, and better that way, since they're supposed to be deleted afterwards anyway, and usually always posted in so that it always remains on the first page regardless of whether or not it's stickied?
Or maybe he's testing to see if that will be the case.

Well, whatever the reason, it will be interesting to see what kind of an effect it has.
Though it doesn't make much if a difference to me, either way. XD

It's okay.
I already know the reasonings behind it. =] After all, it was what I was worried about with it being stickied.
Anyway, we'll see. =]

Having it as a floated thread promotes it as being the only topic that everyone will post in, as opposed to the diversity of other threads that can be discussed in (due to the fact that it's the first thread seen at the top of the forum every time someone comes in - due to the fact that it's constantly posted in hence why it will always float above the other floated topics).
The way it is now, promotes discussion within other topics, overall keeping the forum active in the sense it was designed to be active, and not with a topic that isn't relative to the game, but rather is a general chat that could be better served in Loungin' than here.
That is also why general discussion topics are not allowed in unmorderated forums.

Away from the GD subject for now, here's a submitted cheat I recently got:
quote Cheat
"Powning ULTIMA WEAPON"
ok heres the stratagy i found the best for killing this pain in the butt first of all make shure you have doomtrain cause he'll cause
a vitality ZERO on it (allthough i think ultima absorbs the damage so dont boost) i had squall around lvl 80 when i fought it
of course you want to make shure you have the Lionheart Ultimas opening move is often light pillar witch deals 9999 damage to
one person regardless of stats (thats y hes such a pain in the butt) summon cerberus and use triple aura then make shure one charicter
has item equipped instead of draw. have that charicter use a holy war on your charicters now just plain pound the holy crap
out of it if they (they being aura and holy war) wear off before you finish him use it do the same thing. my party was Squall
(cant change out), Zell (simply cause of his "tinkering with the machine"), and Irving (cause of his limit with quick ammo)
Max out you charicters str if you can and use this stratagy. if meldown on him was successful you should be able to kill him
in about 10mins with this stratagy.
I was just curious: What do you people think? Approved or not?

I would edit the grammar first, as it is quite terrible, if you ask me.

I find that way of killing Ultima weapon crap. No offence to the guy who did it. Hes saying it takes 10 minutes to do it his way. Well i've killed Ultima weapon in a couple. So I dont find his way of doing it very good :<

Hey guys. The General FF Forum has just started up a super mega tournament to help decide Neoseeker's Favorite Character, and to help boost the activity in that (now dead) forum.
Here is the link to the tourney in case anyone is interested.
Thanks!

We don't see what is the cheat in that system? Seems all legitimate? BTW, did he really mean Ultima weapon or Omega weapon? Can't imagine Ultima weapon took us 10 mins...

And s
hurely the spelling could use some attention.

(No offense meant, he or she may not be native english speaker and our English is far from perfect as well. Just thought shure looked funny.)
*off to check that tourny Ryan mentioned*

I agree with everyone so far, the submitted cheat lacks the grammar structure and actual quality to be considered really useful. It's a strategy to beat Ultima Weapon, not explained in the best way, not the best or easiest strategy either.
I'll be rejecting it then.

Hehehehehe, that "cheat" reminds me of a strategy to beat Omega Weapon, that i read a few years ago, it said: Summon Doomtrain
first to put VIT 0 to Omega, but don't boost him, because Omega absorbs the damage. I'll list the reasons why this is such a joke:
1. At the beginning, Omega is at full HP, so it doesn't matter, if he absorbs the
first move.
2. Even if you already did some damage, the strength of Doomtrain is too little to actually do some decent healing, especially compared to the damage, that Limit Breaks do!
3.
If you want to reduce his power, then boost him to 75 instead of leaving him at 100. (you might also amnesiagreen his SumMag+XX% abilities, to make space for better ones)
Btw,
Ultima Weapon doesn't absorb elements, i don't remember, if he is immune or if he takes damage, but he doesn't absorb, only
Omega Weapon does.

Even though you've already deleted it, I usually move battle strategies to the "Tips" section, since they are more tips than cheats.
It's a pain fixing up the grammar and errors in the Cheats/Tips section. I've been trying to fix up the FFVII cheats/tips for the last few weeks now, and
still have a lot more to do. >_>
