Holy crap, hadn't listened to Holy Roller Novocaine in a while and now I can't stop. It's so dirty it's amazing.

The great thing about the band is that they have the capacity to pull out several brilliant tracks each album that don't even make it as singles. In fact I'd go as far as to say that on the majority of their albums my favourite tracks aren't the more mainstream-orientated singles but rather the oft forgotten gems like Closer, Ragoo, Soft and Milk, none of which have been released but all of which are among my favourite KoL songs.

quote Mocking Alvin
which is weird cause the lyrics on their earlier albums are a lot better than 'oooooooh you're sex is on fire.'
Haha too true.

Tbh, the only song I listened to (accidentally) from this band is 'Use Somebody' which I really really liked a lot. Haven't listened to the others yet.

Kings of Leon have released new European dates for December, as well as the video for their new single 'Radioactive'. I think it's pretty good.

They're the pre-release mate, they're always more expensive. They'll probably go down to like, £40.

Edit: Shit me, they're actually £59... wow.

So what do people think of their lastest single?

I quite like it

First listen, it seems a bit of a grower. It's a nice song, nothing spectacular and nothing necessarily new.

Video's a bit random.

I think it's amazing. I can't stop listening to it.

I love the endless riffs it has throughout it. Especially right when it opens, and right after the chorus.

The only part I don't like is the gospel chorus in the end. It seems a little over the top. Otherwise, I think it's great.

Saw them headlining at V Festival back in august. Really enjoyed it, some great singalong moments to the obvious big tracks from Only by the Night, but there was a decent mix of older material. Best tracks were either The Bucket or Use Somebody.

Liking the new track at the moment, they did play it at V, but it didn't make much of an impact at first, as obviously no-one knew the song so the crowd was a little static for it.
