Anyone know if that Joao Matunjel, (dunno how to spell his name) the one who plays for Sporting, is any good? I need another midfielder. I play Takahara OMF because of my lack of midfielders.

I think his name on Pro Evo is Jol Mountinou or something. He was pretty good on one Master League I had, either on the wing, or just behind the strikers. Curve went probably just over 3/4 of the way through the orange, just under the red; so not the best, but worth buying.
Anyway, on my Master League it looks like I'm going to go my 3rd season in a row without the title and I'm only in year 2009, despite being undefeated for 2 and a half years.
I've comfortable won both cups for the last 4 years, but my League is so difficult. This year I've won 20 and drawn 4, and sit second behind a team I created with all the classic players in (who are heavily edited on my game, all 205 cm, full special ability stars etc). Unfortunatly, they've won every game apart from drawing with me earlier on, and just beat the only team that stand a chance of beating them.
Last season was even more annoying, we both won every game, apart from two draws each (against each other, home and away), and they sneaked it on Goals For.
Next year I'll get them though, Di Canio is starting to develop that blistering pace, and Vaz Te looks to add to his 220 goals already (at the age of 22).

I was looking through my team, and i saw that i only have one english player, and seeing as im an english team i thought it would be best(and for a challenge!) to have at least 4-5 in my first team squad, any ideas on what english players to put in.
(by the way im not willing to change: keeper, one defender, one winger, or a striker to english, oh and i play a 3-4-3)
cheers

I couldn't care less about the nationalities of my players, and I doubt I've got more than one from any one country.
It's probably best to spread the nationalities of your team around, in case International Duty calls up half of your first team.

What year are you in? There are a few decent English and British ML Youth players as well which are worth looking out for.

Is it worth buying players who develop after they're 18/19 since you've lost alot of shrap development?

mmm sweet late night pro evo last night
i went on before about how i thought tatically the game becomes harder as you progress, well i have second thoughts on that now, had the D1 cup final against arsenal last night 4-0 absoloute quality game, started playing 4-4-2 (with a dimond midfield) ive also worked out the attack and defence arrows- playing the left and right back on high defence with the 2 centeral defenders on normal,as with the left and right wingers, i was finding that i had and could control the games alot from the center of the park!!works wonders ripped through arsenal like a hot knife through a tub of lard! mmmm lard!
then the WEFA final Vs haupstad 3-1 (the only chance they had of the game and a deflected shot that sent the keeper the wrong way!
lovley, then blackburn at home 4-0
im enjoying the run of good games!!!
heres me team...
Bufnjel
Tresone (one of the best defenders ive had)
Maldini
Chellini
Bos
Muntari
Gils
Serginiho
Marrius (C)
Cunaim (played a belter in both finals)
Shafai
the way i work me subs...i'll bring gulatz off for marrius
then bring filly on for shafai (as hes a WF ill play him far on the right, rather than center so he can cross the balls in for gulatz)
subs...
Peruzzi-only called upon during Bufnjel's suspension
Chivu
favalli- 18 LW promising fast player.
filly-a promising WF has made a big impact the past few matches
Owen- in his last season...bless
Gulatz-another exellent development curve slow off the mark but developed well when Marrius was out through injury.
Liveral - who will be leaving at the end of the season just not cutting it and his curve has had a major dip.
Herrero- his development curve looks execellent round 23-25 boarder red- he's 18 at the mo good future player IMO
Nakata
Henzie
to be honest tho apart from the cups and me finding the right formation (ahemm last night-and about time)
its been one of the worst seasons ive had 8th in the league 18pts off the leaders and 3 matches to go!

Bang top right!

You just go to player edit, then Appearance for the height/weight etc, and Special Abilities for the stars. It certainly makes it more interesting. I find that none of the real teams offer any challenge after the first 2 seasons. I think the heighest ranked real team on my ML now are Real Madrid, who are about 5 th or 6th in the league and WEFA Rankings.

what season you in?
ill give it a try tho!
yea real madrid are exceptionally poor now
sayin that tho Arsenal ive found unbeatable this season untill the D1 cup final id lost all other matchs to them this season, and i hate playing everton anyway, there the kings of last minute goals cant count the number of times ive had a stressed out 0-0 match then in the 89th min they will score, dosent help playin on that pitch aswell (you know the one with all the lines across the pitch)
but im only 2 matches away from the season finishing (MAN UTD and CHELSEA) cant wait-really gonna build up on the young players i have!
Dont you find that in pre season matches stats go up alot quicker?
gonna have a Super cup Esq type of match that would put me up against AC milan (i think)

I just finished the 2009 season this afternoon, so Madrid are just starting to lose their stars to retirement. Although they only came about 8th in the League. Arsenal have never really troubled me either though, even with Shevchenko and Beckham in their squad.
As expected, I didn't win the League. A few decent youngsters have come up though, but I'm dreading doing the first two weeks of Training, and a couple of friendlies to get hold of them.

I think Greenwood, Mitchell, Pelligrini are the pick of the Youth players. With Cocu, Zaoric and Karpin looking like the best of the regens.

i was thinkin about 4 frendly matches this season but worried incase of injury couldnt bare starting the new season without some of the star players- sayin that tho i might just put out the youth squad for all the matches (except the super cup type of match)
gonna see if liverpool will trade yamada for liveral if not ive noticed a decent striker at Arsenal-Gibson his name is only 18 he could come in handy!

I normally have a friendly every week in the off season, starting each match with my first team to help build teamwork, and then bringing on 7 youngsters at half time.
I play them all on 1 star, 5 mins, with normally a bit on double speed. You are unlikely to get any injuries on 1 star, because they don't tackle.
Gibson's a decent striker, you could find his curve goes into the red, it did on mine but I didn't have a place for me in my team.
