Subject: Can't select runners anymore

Here's something that's driving me nuts. First, I'm running WinXP on an AMD 2.08GHz, ATI Radeon 9200, 512MB DDR, yada yada yada. Controller is Logitech Dual Action Gamepad. Now the problem:
While it used to work fine, for some reason, I cannot select runners with the 1,4,3 buttons or with the keyboard when keyboard mode is selected. Any idea what this is? I even tried re-installing, in case something got 'infected' but still, nothing. Can't lead off, can't pick who I want to steal, advance, retreat, nothing. All other functions work and the same buttons work for throwing, etc.
