-------------------------------------------
I noticed that there are 3 musical impact notes when you strike the ball:
1. The single note (for not perfect impact)
2. A double note
3. A Clef ? Is that what you call it? It looks kind of curly like a cursive S, but it is a music thing you see at the beginning of written music.
Which one do you want, 2 or 3 ?
How do you get it? I know they say you have to hit the x button with the right strength; but I usually can only get the clef when I do a short putt. My controller is old, and I wonder if it isn't as sensitive to the strength with which you hit the x button.
Please advise on how to get perfect impact consistently (obviously you must hit the line perfectly too.)

Has nothing to do with how hard you hit the X button. The double note is when you get the meter at max and at perfect impact, and you may need to do this while doing a power shot as well (can't recall).

i don't get doubles that way... are you sure it isn't determined by how hard you press the X button? it is a pressure sensitive game, says so on the box.
