I just wanted to get your opinions on CM5 as I was thinking of buying it BEFORE I read these reviews on Amazon (apologies for infringing any copyright laws!):

AMAZON:
I have never in my life played such a big ridden game. It looks awful, it plays awful, and simply isn't anywhere near as good as Football Manager 2005.
-----
What a waste off time and money, looked foward to playing this game all year, if your looking to buy a football manager game get football manager 2005 a much much better game. -----
Having purchased all Championship Manager games from the very beginning, when CM5 finally came to our shops, I was full of anticipation to see if SEGA could match the departed SI (Sports Interactive). How disappointed I was.
-----
I was really looking forward to this game being released and when the game finally arrived I was full of optimism. However, the game turned out to be an utter disappointment. The fluidity of the game is poor compared to previous games in the Championship Manager series

HOWEVER, I then found this review by The Times:

THE TIMES:
Like Arsène Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson, Eidos has had to deal with a confident young upstart this year. Sports Interactive, the development team behind the previous games in the Championship Manager franchise, split with Eidos to produce the excellent Football Manager 2005 last November.

Eidos’s response has been a long time coming, but is worth the wait. As well as all the old touches, such as a bottomless pit of player statistics, there is a huge reduction in the load times. Other improvements include an advanced navigation system and a more realistic transfer system that makes it a greater challenge not just to identify the player you want, but to appease him, his agent, his current club, your board, your fans and, quite possibly, your dog as well. A great example of familiarity breeding content.

What to do?

Do you agree/disagree with the above?
